Hey there mate, just got back in the door!
965 Miles later... funking epic weekend!
The car is more filthy than its ever been! Infact more filthy than any car I've ever had has ever been....
Apart from "sport" I assume...
If that's the case Nick, why have some already said in this thread that their's isn't?
I think it must be random tbh, some are, some aren't.
At a guess, that looks like titanium, but its very difficult to tell. If you can find a local member with a silver car, as them to park next to you and see if its the same?
EDIT: Embedded for you...
P.s good looking rep mate :)
I didn't want to clog up this thread, but I can't resist but disagree...
Parts for a full cam and aux belt KIT are going to be some where in the reigon of £150-175, the job, taking roughly say 4-5 hours, leaves only 225ish profit, so taking away the £80 leaves £145 meaning the garage is only...
Don't want to make yours and Will's look bad now do we? ;)
Don't worry too much though, mines more ph2 than ph1 now anyways ;)
There could be 4 ph1's and 2 Ph2's but it depends whos about! lol!
"Wee Meet" for sure Will.. We can get some good pics, maybe next weekend some time as its a long'un.
I'll see if a few of the local Ph1 owners fancy popping along so I'm not out numbered :o
Plus Rob (EvilGiraffe) has a DSLR and some good skills yo'
Interesting.... I really want to take mine off and fit the new RS badge, I'll give it a go next weekend and report back (probably moaning about the holes in my tailgate...
What he's trying to say, is that without going out and buy SPECIFIC Renault tools, it is not possible to do the job properly.
So any average garage would have to go out and buy specific tools, as they more than likely don't already have them, and 99% of garages won't want to do that, so just...
Love the carbon wrapping, exactly what I wanted to do to my mirrors and a few other bits, never knew it was benefitial to paint them first though... I may try without and see how it comes out, if the answer is pap, I'll start again. lol!
Nice shots Will, although it looks like something is trying to scale them, as the edges of the wheels etc are not smooth, scale in photoshop to 800x600 and they'll look a lot better ;)
Mine's got the spoiler on now, finally!
The bonnet is smoothed mate, I've asked countless times for...
Indeed it is
Correct
If I were you mate, I'd just cut my aerial down a bit, as it looks better and people say they have no problems with reception, best of all, it solves your problem.
I have a very loud exhaust, so answering this isnt easy for me tbh, but I had a BMC CDA before, which you could not hear at all over the exhaust, and with this, when really giving it some at top end I can definately hear it.
I believe that JMS setup is pretty much as quiet as standard with...
I see this wasn't as simple as getting a definative answer.... lol.
I guess it may just be random, not all ph1's seem to be pinned, but if the "Renault" badge is pinned that means no changing it for the new RS badge :( F'ing stupid Ph1 :(
See thats what I thought, but in someone thread there was a ph1 with the RS badges removed, was there holes left behind..... I'll try find the link...
Considering taking all badges off and having a carbon clio badge from extreme dci or whatever his name is
EDIT: Wiggle's car...
Go into your local Renault, prices on these do seem to vary mate, tbh with car mats you get what you pay for, no substitute for quality IMO.
I still have the original mats ATM, but I know I'll be replacing them with something like the above or something of similar quality very soon.
The mats at wests are VERY nice, £55 delivered, which isnt too bad... I'll hook you up with a pic...
Or you can go to your local Renault and buy them :)
