Cheers Tom. I've just realised between looking at my and your pictures I forgot to put the second jubilee clip on aswell (at filter end), will do that tonight me thinks :)
Yes and no Tom, see my PM, lol!
Tom's picture is a much better indication of how it fits, and mine shows how it kinda looks in the bay, I think that pic is the worst one I've ever taken tbh.
Oh and the breather isn't supposed to be sitting there, its was just there as I took the picture before...
Get out and measure? Just get a tap and measure 15cm from where it'd be butted up against the tb. I imagin the leg length is taken from the centre line.
I had a BMC CDA attached to a similar size (I think) one and it was fine.
I have a bloody awful pic of it fitted, (light was fading and I only had an iphone...)
I think JMS said something about being able to get a coloured elbow for an extra tenner if thats your thing, personally I like how it looks quite OEM.
And please excuse the state of my engine bay, that'll be...
Fitted the whole kit mate, the v6 box is bigger and gives the best results aparently. Plus to one large airfeed from the big gap right next to the battery is ideal.
:)
If anyone at a meet soon wants to try it out etc, feel free.
LOL! IIRC means "If I recall Correctly" That's the price ordered direct from JMS, the price posted for the "road kit" the race its another £20 or so I think (this comes with an extra race filter)
If you live local to JMS I'm sure you can go pick one up a bit cheaper as it'd be no postage. If...
How much fitted? Mate you'd be mental not to fit it yourself, comes with instructions and tbh it couldnt be easier, £148 posted IIRC, and then a screw driver and you're done. Take a maximum or 25 mins if you've never done anything like that before, or if you have more like 10 minutes.
Its a...
Actually prefer this car with the silver alloys for some reason? Looks good mate, sounds like you've had a fun time with it, but IMO you're paying silly money for it :(
Oh, and that polish seems f**king magnificent!
So you took a Renault, which requires specialist locking tools to have the cambelt done, to an Audi garage? No one else here not suprised its not right?
3/4 Height, full width on the front
Full size on the back
Both borderless, with no deal stamps or anything, nice plain plates look smart as.
If you want to start modifying, lowering would improve it 10x IMO, I think the wheels would look better too.
Looks titanium to me? Very nice mate.
Invest in some decent cleaning products and you'll see a difference straight away. i.e a wash mitt instead of a sponge etc.
Look forward to progress.
I'd be about then mate, so if you wouldnt mind? I'll be spraying my centre caps that weekend too I think, so if there's any little bits you want to paint/touch up just let me know and we'll do them then :)
Cheers Mike, I still need to grease that damn caliper, lol! Hows you're car?
It seems to seriously divide opinion tbh, personally I love it, and I guess that's whats important. :)
You've done an amazing job of those wheels mate, they look bloody excellent!!!
Not a fan of the bumpstrips/mirros, think it'd look so much better just silver, and not inverted mirros.
Even with those things, great looking motor :)
Glad you finally listened, modding the car externally was pointless without caring for the engine, now you've done that, go nuts. :)
Car looks like a nice standard example. Wheels could do with going anth or changing to anth turini's preferably.
I didn't bother to check location tbh, I just assumed you'd be northern like most of CS seems to be.
I offer my apologies, I suppose you're not as bad, you all just sound bloody funny ;)
Brian, I royally messed mine up, light was fading and I was rushing, I peeled the wrong piece off and screwed it up (uber fail)
Although I managed to save my bacon by applying gaffa tape where the old piece used to be, and starting again, lol!
This method should be included as a note at the...
