Got the latest issue of Evo yesterday and there was a lengthy piece about the long term Cup theyve got. The guy ended up likening it to a Lotus Cortina, such is its focus and driver appeal. Im glad, it should do wonders for the residuals.

For my Cup, all in, including full UK warranty, RAC et al (cause its a UK car), 12 months RFL and with nothing in the way of delivery/additional charges, its cost me £10,990 (though within two weeks of me ordering mine the price has risen to £11,400!).

The bit about them rectifying the problems gives me some relief...the fact that they need rectifying in the first place doesnt though! The only thing I worry about is that the delivery driver rags it to within an inch of its life and by the time it gets to me the brakes are glazed and smoking...

I couldnt agree more with you Mike H, at the end of the day, on real roads, in everyday conditions theres so much more that cpmes into play than straightforward bhp/ton. Why did I go for the Cup over the 172? Comes down to cost, got it for £10,990 from New Car Discount. Couldnt get anywhere...
