    Skoda splitter fitted!!

I love these splitters, once I put mine on it looked like it should have always been there, now any 1*2 doesn't look right to me if it hasn't got one.

My new A3 :) yey (lots of photos)

My 172 doesn't look as good as your rep, I wish mine was that colour. Hope you enjoy the Audi, everyone should own a nice VAG at least once, I still miss mine a bit, proper comfy on a long motorway journey.

    Rear diamond - MK2 PH2 172

It's bonded/glued on, you have to remove the whole section around the boot lock by scraping the glue off from the inside. I'm in the middle of spraying my badges & bullets, i've done the 'Clio' & the front diamond, but for the rear i'm buying a new one from renparts then replacing it...

Idiots guide to fitting skoda splitter?

Yeah you can just go at it without any, but I just found easier to screw them in if I had pilot holes to begin with, it just meant I didn't have to screw through the splitter first to get to the bumper. I did want to drill pilot holes in the bumper aswell, but I couldn't get the car high enough...

Idiots guide to fitting skoda splitter?

Neither did I, but it will sit flatter when screwing in if you do.

Idiots guide to fitting skoda splitter?

Cut the little raised tabs off the ends, drill or poke some pilot holes in the splitter for the self tappers, jack the car up, start in the middle with the first screw, then work your way to the edges, cut excess off with a stanley knife or razor blade. Done.

    New daily hack

That's quite nice, do the head gaskets go on those like ever other Rover, or are they a bit more reliable?

    Poxy clio

I changed mine in about 20mins and I had no clue what I was doing, wiring a plug is harder tbh. ;)

    Poxy clio

A garage will just do a visual check, if there are no leaks then they'll assume they're fine. They'd have to remove them and check the compression and rebound to realise they're fecked.
  14. DaveDreads

    Poxy clio

They can still be knackered without them leaking, Does the back feel like it's bouncing around on rough roads? Does the back end step out even at slow speeds when you show it a corner? If the answer is yes to one or both of these, then it's the shocks....we've all been there mate.

    Poxy clio

Rear shocks need replacing, mine were fecked when I got my car and the rear was all over the shop, even in a straight line.

    Poxy clio

Hit a bump on the motorway and it's felt weird ever since, alignment knocked out + mismatched tyres = feeling weird imo. If you've lost a weight off one of the wheels, you'd feel juddering/vibration through the steering wheel.

    172cup CPR Garage Coventry

Just went to pick up my 172 from CPR (Citroen Peugeot Renault) specialists garage Coventry, and there was an absolute mint MB 172cup sitting outside. The garage bloke said you're having limp mode problems. I'm having startup problems but not today, so they couldn't find a bloody thing wrong...

    How about a regular meet?

I really need to pay more attention to what the forum has to offer, I didn't even know there was a calender section. :o So once a month we all get to hang out and have some grub, starting next week.....spot on!!! :D

Which model Clio do you prefer and why?

    opinions por favour!

You're having your side strips sprayed silver even though your car's blue, doesn't colour coding mean spraying them the same colour as the car? If you sprayed the strips the same colour as the car then the bullets will look spot on. Don't get wrong it's your car and you can do what you like...

Which model Clio do you prefer and why?

Re: Which model Clio do you prefere and why? I like different models for different reasons. The first Clio I ever drove was a 1.8rsi, compared to what I was use to driving at the time it was like being shot out of a cannon, I also prefer the shape/styling of the Valver/Williams. A few years...
