Right well alot of the East Mids lot are pretty sound, if you join their regional group i'm sure someone close to you
would be up for letting you have a look at the standard setup,
some of them might have slightly modified airbox setups you get some ideas from aswell.
The bottom pipe would come in handy, otherwise the box is just taking in hot air rising off the block.
The side one can just be replaced with a length of ducting to the acoustic valve area,
but just don't attach it to the thing as it restricts the air flow a little to reduce noise.
Also if...
The good thing was he didn't really know that much about RS Clios,
like the difference between RS inlets and standard ones.
Some bargins could be had if you're cunning.
Although he was no fool, so i'd imagine he may have learnt a few things by now. lol
Might be worth becoming a member mate, JC5 boxes can be picked up for around £200quid in the for sale section,
my box went last year (non speedo) and I picked one up from a breakers in the West Midlands called Bridgenorth Renault.
At the time he had a few F4R engines and quite a few JC5s, he...
Will any of the products listed above make my plastics black again,
or is giving it a coat of satin black my best bet?
I'm talking about my grill, fog light plastics, bumper insert etc.
When you break it down, it's £3k for a 1.2 8v with 60bhp, it's never going to happen.
The body kit's probably worth more than the car tbh, be better off selling the kit separately,
putting the car back to standard then selling that.
Holy sh*t that makes mine look spotless!!!
At least my dog's not destructive, and on occasion I scrape all the dog hair and sh*te out when it's realy bad,
the thing is I know that if I hoovered and polished the inside of my car it woud be mint as nothing is damaged.
That CTRs interior was...
Just make sure you copy your existing files onto your hard drive,
there are also OEM files you can download for free off the FastChip website iirc,
just in case it a goes mental and you need to put it back to normal.
It may sound weird but i'm not sure i'd like to own a mint car like that,
i'd cry every time it got the slightest mark or when a stone hit it.
I'd just be too paranoid to drive it.
Very very nice every time you post photos, how often do you drive it?
It's absolutely mint so I guess it's only on special occasions, are you keeping it as a collectors item, as in a mint low miler?
5 door F4Rs make the baby Jesus cry. ;)
Seriously though mate if a 5 door Clio is all you've got in Brazil, then you don't really have much choice,
it'll be a sleeper that's for sure and it'll take people by surprise when you disappear on them. lol
If you only have 1.6 5 doors, where...
I warm it up on the drive, check it over, then take it for a good blast,
park on the drive again and wait and see if it's leaking.
Just getting it up to temp on the drive isn't going to stress the parts as much as a good 30min boot full.
All you can do is top the coolant up and see if it goes down over the next week or so.
The fact that it's pissing it down constantly doesn't help,
could really do with a few dry days to see if any fresh puddles appear.
If you've replaced the hose then you must have a split in the rad somewhere,
not that i'm a mechanic but if it's still leaking from the same spot it must be the rad leaking.
How much coolant are you getting through atm, has it increased?
Well all I can tell you is my recent experiences with my radiator.
It suddenly started leaking one day from the left of the rad (drivers side),
I had a look and could see it was coming from the bottom, and that the front was also pretty much smashed in
with holes from where stones had hit it...
Gasket, it has a very slight leak but it's from a couple of places, may aswell do it properly.
Flol at your Mrs not letting you boot your car, in her mind it's already hers mate, so you can't win.
