I went to the Bulldog bash in the 90s there, all my mates had a go at 1/4 mile times,
i've never had a bike so just sat in the stands pissed out of my mind. :approve:
That was the year Eddie Kidd spackered himself, we f*cked off when his show started so missed it. lol
Just read their site...
You'll be alright, remove the back seats, spare wheel,
drive naked and that a sh*t before you race for maximum weight saving. :approve:
I'll be removing it all before I race, i'll save myself a couple of kilos I think.
There's nothing else I can do to my car power wise that won't cost me a kidney,
I think the next time i'll run the standard airbox with a paper filter just to get a comparison against my V6 box.
Although I think the next thing we should all do is Santa Pod so we can live our lives a 1/4mile at...
Same here, I drive from Cov to Stratford Upon Avon four times a week, the A46 turns into a lake when it rains hard,
the standing water has to seen to be believed, I think i'd have had an accident by now if it wasn't for Rainsports.
I've got rainsports and they're amazing, wet grip is unreal and they refuse to let the car aquaplane,
dry grip is really good aswell and the grip is progessive, so when pushing it round a corner the understeer will slowly build up,
so you know when you're reaching the limit and not suddenly let...
Do the axles have to be extended to fit the wide arches, or is there some kind of Cooper conversion that gets done?
Noob questions, as I have no clue about Minis,
I just want one at some point so I can learn car mechanics and build something cool.
It was the tight gear linkage that got me, it felt so solid!
In mine today i've realised how much play there is in neutral and in each gear,
and that's even with a polybushed dogbone, it was even worse before.
I have to find that stiff shift kit for mine.
The two cars I want most in the world are an old Land Rover and a Mini, some of the wide arch ones are amazing.
I'd really like to have one as a project and spend my spare time doing a ground up restoration.
Well after a full belt service & dephaser, the only things left to do on my car are uprated engine mount,
whiteline arb, polybush the wishbones and maybe the front arb.
Then it's track day time.
After that it's all cosmetic such as pro race 1.2s or 3s (haven't decided yet), a better steering...
I was going to grow a few of my thicker dreadlocks longer and use those,
i'm saving all the dog hair to sell as exhaust wadding, extra 10bhp.......the rollers proved that.
I wonder if I should wipe all the sh*te off my dash?
The thing is people pay good money to have a flocked dash to avoid glare,
i've got the same effect through pure laziness. :approve:
B*llocks to cleaning the back though, the dog will just f*ck it up again the next day.
My approach to...
My best mate had a white XR3i and we used to stop at bus stops and ask random girls if they'd like a lift,
f*cking loads of them would get in the car. lol
I lost my virginity in the early 90s round the back of the Dog & Trumpet in Cov with a girl I went to school with,
it wasn't untill we'd finished (which didn't take long lol) that I realised we'd been lying in someones puddle of piss!
You couldn't make it up. :S
XR2's XR3i's RS Turbos &...
