Mate it is honestly so easy.
Just undo the screw on the inside of the boot by the interior handle recess,
pull hard on the plastic cover on the inside and it will just pop off,
then undo the 3 nuts holding on the rear diamond section,
then pull it off from the outside.....done!
I've recently...
Holy sh*t that looks bad, got to be some fatalities there. :(
Unless they rear ended the Passat, got out, then the car was destroyed by another vehicle,
hope so or a family out there is in for a bad year.
This morning i've found a small patch of coolant under the rad,
it wasn't doing it yesterday, it's literally started over night. :dapprove:
So that's something else that need sorting before the 9th,
I thought the thing was ready seeing as it's just had new tie rods & track rod ends.
I'm...
Discovered that over night it's decided to start leaking coolant from somewhere at the front. :dapprove:
Hopefully it's just a perished hose that given up due to the heat.
That's one hell of a f*cking noise the thing makes!!
Although I don't think Renault will be happy until the front Diamond on their new cars is the size of a dustbin lid. :S
I can't comment on that as i've never had either cup or Koni shocks. ;)
Although I might upgrade to Koni's in the future as they're not really that expensive.
I guess it helps knowing what you're doing then, mine need professionally sorting out due to heavy curbing.
(Previous owner honest, well most of it.) :o
For the money you'll spend on supplies, you won't be far off a professional re-spray or powder coat.
I can understand wanting to do it yourself as I considered it, but the time and effort i'll put in will more than likely be undone
the first time some garage monkey puts new tyres on my car...
It's just that when they came out I read a review in French Car Mag years ago,
the bloke testing it fitted it to a 182 and he thought it was a good idea to slacken it off in wet weather,
although thinking about it he was testing it on track and it pissed it down half way through the day.
At the moment i've got Uniroyal Rainsport 2's on the front and Kumho KH31's on the back,
pretty good combination and grippy in all weathers, especially the wet.
All of them were around £50quid a corner, which is great value tbh for the level of grip they give.
I can't comment on how long they...
Not really as mine's needed re-gassing for a few years, i've just never got round to it,
it works fine on all but the hottest days, but seeing as you can normally count them on one hand, it's never bothered me.
I use the heaters more in the winter than cold air in the summer.
Windows open is...
Holy sh*t, I might actually bid on that if it stays cheap, i've always wanted a Landy.
I wonder if he'd take £500quid right now for it, although I suspect it'll go for more than that.
I couldn't be arsed to read the bullsh*t story though.
WL ARB is something i'll be doing to mine once all the belts are done,
I know they're adjustable, had you ever had cause to adjust in winter or piss wet roads?
You've got 8 Clio's!!!?
I take it you're a bit of fan then mate? lol
Go one then, give us the list, tell us what mods they've got & what you use them all for.
