Any chances of some pictures of the broken spring this is the second incident of broken springs on 172 that I have heard of. Im thinking there may be a possible problem with them.
Why not tell them someone else has been driving it as well.
You could always ring one of these milage correction places and have them drop a few thousand miles dropped of the clcok.
The cup finished production a while back (november I think) although there are unsold ones out there.
The 4k rattle is a 172/cup uniqueness the exhaust rattle at ~4k there are ways to fix it its just another folly of owning a Clio
If you want a racer get the cup
If you want more luxury...

You could always try and buy a full kit and sell the springs on seperatly
These spares companies are havign a laught thy want £115 for a cd changer cable even Renault only want £90.
Id change the tyre as well though there could be internal damage to it all insurance companies pay for new one asfter crashed like that.
Cheaper paying for it out your own pocket...
Ok so Ive decided against a 172/182 for the moment as the cost is stupid. But Im going to go for some suspension mods but I need some hlep deciding.
The best one that I have heard of are...
There were some Renault dealers cd for sale a while back on ebay but there not supposed to be sold to the public. Your best buying a Haynes manual and then asking / searching for parts numbers on here.
No Renult 6 speed box will go in easily you would need a savec or whatever one which is very expensive.
You may be best getting an uprated 5th gear if it bothers you. Ther are companies who strenghten boxes will knwo how much your looking at for a bigger 5th gear for lower revs. My guess its...
Its stupid not telling them. The insurance companies used to check ECUs but nowadays they are going to go so even more after crashes especially if your car is modified in other ways.
Im sort of in the same position I could geta 172 etc but I dont think I can justify the exta £140 a month...
An external ECU dastek/ unichip etc will give abywere between 5 and 15hp but since they can be remaped time after time with new maps to take advantage of the mods you have done there much better value than superchip/rsport ecu IMO.
An external ECU will cost you about £250 and the a proper...
In the cold weatehr the air in the tyres takes up less space so if you put 28psi in the tyres in the cold then you will have to let the air out again in the hottler weather.
When/if it ever gets a bit warmer the air in the tyres takes up more space so the pressure is bigger.

JAy172 I think (99.9% sure) that the 80dci and 65dci share the same turbo a made by KKK (now called BorgWarner Turbo Systems) KP35 its a nonwater-cooled, wastegated design turbo. Incorporating a molybdenum alloyed high silicon ductile iron turbine housing, it has a 35 mm diameter turbine wheels...
Errr dump value turbo diesel you dont need one guess some people just want the noise.
Have you tried http://www.corsasport.comwww.corsasport.com there always seems to be a few people on there with TD looking for dump valves. YThere not many dci owners on here.
£36 divided by the price of fuel per £ per lier ie ~0.82 gives the amount of liters you put in the car so about 45. Divide this by 4.5461 coverts to gallons so about 10 gallons and youve driven 270 miles so 27mpg .
24k has cost
~£6k depereciation
~£70 for 1 new tyre (other were replaced after my crash) they only lasted 16k
£880 insuracne
£5 bulbs
£99 service at 18k
£20 brake pads
£55 for a cd changer which dont work
£1600 worth of fuel
£20 worth of shampoo
£7 Cliosport membership...
65hp is realy about 70hp and remaps give between 88 and 92hp. As for relaiablity well Im not sure what superchips do but an increase it boost is what I belive will happen which is a little dangerous as intake temsp are high enough stock. But it should be fine superchip as a compnay are very...
Put the old airfilter back on the new induction kit may not be helping. The K and N filters have oil on them I belive and this can mess up the mass airflow sensor.
Driving short distances at slow speed round town doesnt do much for good MPG.
No way to check for a new engine managment you...
Mental not never buy a car from there getting 40 out of the diesel is insane Ive got about 37 on country roads once absolutly hammering.
Bettween 30 and 35 I would guess but if your driving it very slowly in town traffic or riving it hard 25. Ive hit about 17 in one once in a courtesy car.
The turbo kit will cost 3k and will be quite low pressure about .7 bar IMO so you dont need an intercooler but it will help long term life and increase power. Its not worth it unless you want to mod the engine better drop a 1.8 16V in there for £1400.
If you want more power there has been a...
182 should be the model which stays in productuion till the new shape model comes out in 2005. Alhtough wheather there will be a sport clio imediatly when the new Clio comes out is unknown. So the 182 will keep going till 2005 at least I recon
There one at my local dealerships (Speed Six in the northwest tel 01978311999 www.speedsixgroup.co.uk)
although there efforts to try and sell me any car are teriable just the though that they have to finish chatting to the other sales people is a sin
Have a look here the website is very poorly done and is advertising of out the box thinking annoys me but his idea seems to make sence on how to bed the engine in.

Get the porche. So what if it has VW parts in. Jaguars have mondeo parts in them.
At the end of the day its an old Porche so running costs will be higher and reliablity lower than your car.
Take it for a drive (I guess you have drivern it before) an think about this is it better than your...
Best value would be a Williams/ 16V in my opinion. The 16V engines are quite cheap and 137hp stock which is better than a stock GTT sure you can turn the boost up on the GTT but for how lon will it stay there without modification.
The other engines possible are the 172 which would be slightly...
The 172 is a cheap CRT in my mind as greeper says people have moved over to the dark side and enjoy driving there bread vans round. In the end it comes down to the simple fact in my mind that people want a change so a CRT is a bigger slight different bigger type of car. Its not much quiker if at...
