Strip it out NOS a 25 hp setup should b fine if your gently if your worried run a progressive setup. Not worth doing loads IMO sure you could turbo it etc but for the cost might as well drop a GTT in there for £1000 (plus whatever you want to spend on a doner car so between £500 and £50,000)...

Depends on how many yrs NCB, the milage you do and driving experiance. For me at 21 with 1yrs NCB 1 claim and 17k/ye its about £1400~1700. But if you do less miles put it in a garage etc you may get it for £1000.

Brake wear depends on milage so if yo do a few more miles then less than 5 months and they will have gone. 80% is more of a guess I think not an exact figure. Its easy to chaneg them I had 80% wear on mine at the first service and got some pads a few weeks later and did them myslef dead easy...

humm 335hp ATW sound a bit unliky 1.1 bar about douibles the normal aspirated power so without the turbo the engine makes ~190hp at the fly so its either had loads of work or the cars been done on LADs RR. Id worry about it the Polo with that tunning will be more problems IMO than a 172...
