The 80hp dci ie the ones with the coloured i have rear disk not sure when the UK got them but it came out in France mid September 2002. Im not sure if that the dynamics only though and I havnt senany 80hp dci with rear disk the 100dci I saw at the showroom today had drums I think so how Renault...
Andy at GDI does it also the other Renault tunning companies should do it for about that much. However the thing is when people get a GTT dropped into there car they have the engine rebuilt for more power. So if you start will a cheap gtt doner car then you can spend thousands extra to get the...
Strip it out
NOS a 25 hp setup should b fine if your gently if your worried run a progressive setup.
Not worth doing loads IMO sure you could turbo it etc but for the cost might as well drop a GTT in there for £1000 (plus whatever you want to spend on a doner car so between £500 and £50,000)...
I think its in the warently booklet about affected parts having there warently removed due to mods.
New EU laws (for once there achully useful) they have to prove the mod is to blame for the failure. Anyway are Renault realy going to check for remaps when it takes some time. JAY172 was saying...
Depends on how many yrs NCB, the milage you do and driving experiance. For me at 21 with 1yrs NCB 1 claim and 17k/ye its about £1400~1700.
But if you do less miles put it in a garage etc you may get it for £1000.
Black the best colur for non 172 IMO
Silver for 172 and Cups though
All Dynamics ordered when I got mine were balck apparently the saleman said all young people wan them in black.
But to be different I got a dci dont see many dcis
EDD
Its importnant to bed the car in but not keep it under so "x" revs for a certain lenght of time . There a website on the net which explains why u should give it some stick when its warm but I cannot remember it.
There no way a salesman will have treated it gentle is there it will have been...
5/10 for driving enjoyment. I want stearing feedback whoever invented electric power stearing should be shot
Build quality well its not German build quality but its not bad If Id payed the extra for a German/ Japenese car then Id have wasted my money so 8/10.
id buy a Renault next time I...

Brake wear depends on milage so if yo do a few more miles then less than 5 months and they will have gone. 80% is more of a guess I think not an exact figure.
Its easy to chaneg them I had 80% wear on mine at the first service and got some pads a few weeks later and did them myslef dead easy...
Id say go for what you want a striped out Cup pre-registered or an import 172.
Personally Id go for a loaded 172 cruise climate etc but its down to what you want.
Ps the 172 seesm to be higher insuracne but it can depend on the company
The 182 is to Cup like for me persoanly Id save the...
Id say strip it back to normal and sell the bits on.
Sell it to a dealer and there less problem but less money for you.
However selling it yourself has more problems.
Depend if you want the hasle and problems just for the sake of some extra cash.
Are ou sure than its not just a noraml problem the cams are quite strong so that may have something to do with it give it a bit more revs in the morning and see if you can get rid of it that way. IE get it warm quick
A high clutch sound like its on the way gets higer until ther no bit there...
If you have the spare 3k then you need to think about what you realy want a williams or a more unique car. There are only a few GTT Clios out there and a moded car will stand out more IMO than a Williams anyone can buy a stock car takes someone with some bravery to do a GTT conversion.
A GTT...
Best try loads of companies Ive tried many of the supposed cheap companies and there all massivly expensive for me. Privalage, Tesco, elephant, green light, are good for some people. CIS are another good company though. It all depends where you live and what NCB and milage your going to do along...
Id go for a Rsport one personally as its warently safe as it can be reomved sure the superchip is invisiable but tunning th 172 has been discussed before and somehimes the wrong maps can serious damage the engine if theyre pushed to far.
Heard a few scare stories about superchips sure there a...
Dropping a new engine may be cheaper as if you get one from a crashed car your talking about £1k max then another £1k to drop it into the car. Chip it for £500 and you must be talking close the 260hp for £2.5k plus you can sell the 172 engine on if you want.
Depend how much power you want for...
TBs cost about £3.5k apparentyl but Roamer hasnt said what the costs are on the forum.
Roamer got 170lb torque and 21hp on the RR and he has more to come.
K-tec are doing a turboed 172 so thats probaly the most powerful but Im not sure how there going with the work
You will know as the braking become less as the abs unlocks the brakes and then reaplies them.its like a juddering sound but as Nicky said you will know Best try it on a wide road with noone around and slam on hard and you know when it cuts in.
EDD
I dont know what its like on 172 but with Dynamics the brakes are very simple to do even I could do it.
JAY172 even if its 150 labour the parts cannot be over £100 can they so £300 is a bit steep.
Also I got my info on what the service is from the manul and from what I could tell there...
humm 335hp ATW sound a bit unliky 1.1 bar about douibles the normal aspirated power so without the turbo the engine makes ~190hp at the fly so its either had loads of work or the cars been done on LADs RR.
Id worry about it the Polo with that tunning will be more problems IMO than a 172...
Shoudl cost about £200 well thats what my local dealership in Wrexham said I think Lewis Read on the Wirral is about the same.
£300 is a rip of especially with the little work they do.
You can do the brakes yourself no probelm and I cannot see what they will have worn out in 36K I drive mine...
Id try a Dci as well same insurance groups I think and the road fund licence is less and the economy very good should cost you about £500 extra but you will earn that back after 13K plus it will be worth slightly more at resale.
Depends on where you live an milage. For me at 21 wih 1 NCB and 1 claim plus 2 yrs driving experiance @20k/yr its about £1500 Guess maybe 100 cheaper if I ring up companies.
Other running costs will be higer altough MPG might not be much worse for you 1.2 owners servicing is slightly more plus...
