Not to difficult just need to remove dash etc and replace them just make sure there same sort of power rating etc.
Have a serach there was a recient thered about how to do it.
Your best doing a search there been a few discussionson it.
Expensive to do 6k all in I guess for 250hp. Id try and get a 1.8T VAG engine in there with a remap for less. You can get 270hp out of the engine and there a company with them for sale for 3.5K all crated up with 6 speed boxes
Get some of those 50% uprated bulbs much better Im thinking of changing all my other lights ie main beam for uprated one as the normal ones seem to give up fast enough.
Cheapest way is NOS 25hp whould be fine and 50hp still be reasonable safe.
If you want a more constant increase remap should give you 5hp (£500 for an unichip and proper remap). And cams another 5~10hp for 350.
The other way is exhaust and cold air intake and panel filter. No idea of costs...
Why would someone convert a calibra turbo to FWD its AWD as standard? That would get me wondering if its had a crash or the rear gearbox bits have snapped if its been tunned to much.
I wouldnt swop though it would cost more to run I think.
About £40 I think PM me your Vehicle type and if possible the fabrication number of your car and Ill get the Renault code for the part if u want an original one.
They wont make a note of it I belive. Dealerships service notes dont get sent out to renault finance anyway renault finance are almost a seperate company nothing to do with the dealrers they just fill in the paperwork for them.
The mayonaise bit has happened to loads of 1.2 Clios seems not to be a problem just an engine charecteristic (possibly a way of buying cheap private one?)
Unlike the 172 the other Clios seem to have clutches which are upto the job but the seals have gone on a few of them (not the 1.2 but...
Officically your not allwed any mods beyong what is doen at the dealership when you buy it ie if it has a Renault body kit on it thats fine I belive. But to be fair there not going to care so long as you either buy the car back at the end they dont care.
If the car is being returned when the...
Usualy increasing power increased power thoughout the rev range increases mid range
A one of unichip etc remaping should cost you about £250 and the same again to have the remap done and be the best thing to get mid range out of the engine alos you shopuld geta few hp top end (8 possibly)...
A superchip will give you at best 12hp no more and more likly 5~8hp.
12hp is about the best you can get remapping wise and thats using an exteral ecu ie uni chip type thing.
Renault will be able to tell that the car has been remaped but dealers arnt going to check only problem is they may...
You can get an extended warentl for 120k so the engine should be good for twice that with some reasonable care IMO.
5200 in 6months isnt that much at all the the normal warently is 60k in 3yrs so at this rate youll only do ~31k which is nothing now a days. The 1.2 engine although small should...
Best leave it then IMO. The F4R engine has some unusally charecteristics so unless they tunners are aware of these they cn damage the engine (a forum user needed new pistons and rings when the tuners messed up his mapping although he only found out the damage when it all went wrong a while...
Not wanting to sound stupid but what does this bit mean ---3 x 1 ? I guess the 1 refere to amount ie they sell light bulbs in twos but what about the 3
Bargin if there going to fix if going to fix it for £4k I recon mine has a similar sort of crash but the car never roleld so no bodywork and the bull was £3.5k
You could allways get a £3k loan over 3yrs for ~£100 a month if the worst come to the worse
Still recon my idea about crashing a...
You can get 182 with cup suspension for another grand so not that much of a bargin sound be able to get them down to 11k though. I wonder how many 172 are still out there? I know my local dealer has one still.
Got mine for £99.
Tell then not to do anything other than the service they charge you for anythign they can eg wipers, brakes etc and you can do these yourself easily for £20 brakes and 1hr at worst and wipers are a few seconds to do.
Shouldnt be any problems though.
Best to a serch over the last few pages of the forum there been loads of talk on them reciently.
You can drop 60 with springs alone (some people say 60 is the least you should go) but how long the shock last well. Should be good for 6months but some have lasted over 12 months without problems...
the ktec coilover have a a good repuation pricy though
And there adjustable so when you want some more get the spanner out and drop it again.
Loads of combinations though there a motorsport company on the net which does good deals best do a search though this topic of suspension was brought...
Yep best get a fully rempable one IMO.
Changing of the timing is good as it stops knocking etc also it allows you to use higher RON fuel (I imagine you have access to it) and take advantage of it.
The timing relates to the firing of the spark plugs its a complex are and Im useless at...
I got mine out Rob. Having low grip tyres on the back and/ little weight on the back can mean you loose the back I cannot explain why totally but Ive preved in a very costly manor that you can. Have a go yourself on a track (preferable with loads of run of ) with the worst of your tyres on the...
NO NO dont do it realy bad idea I did this and it has a lot to do with why my car swoped ends coming out of a bend and cost me a lot of money
Make sure you have some decient grip tyres at the back and prererable some weight back there as well
Learn from my mistake a total bill of about £1k...
