Have a look at the terms they usually let you drive any car 3rd party as long as the party has agreed to it (sort of obvious) and that the other car has a policy on it under someone else name. There no problem though driving your dads car on a booze cruise if its right.
Im fed up of all young...
Ive done that as well in a courtesy car. I worked out I was going about 120~130 even though it didnt show it.
Best Ive pushed mine to is 78mpg driving slowly and carefully to and from work.
Since Im guessing the engine has about the same spec as the Corsa engine then with cams, cleaned manifold induction and exhaust work 100hp has been reached with then.
If you want to be able to sell your car on later as stock then get another manifold cleaned etc and use that and swop back when...
Ye the 182 will still be going then even if not there will be a new one 2005 is a long way of you never know what may happen maybe youll want something different by then.
I think the new shape Clio is due late 2005 so thats when the sports turbo model will be out IMO. You migh decide to save...
Yep you will owe about £5278 to finish the contract assuming your not over the allowed milage limit.
Parkers recon a 2002/02 (I guess this is yours) with 20k trades is worth £4900 so assuming Renault finance recons your is worht this then its £378 to finish the contract.
Yep if you need £1.5 to give the car back and there a 172 for 10k then they will want £11.5k for a 172.
Its stupid IMO to have to pay to get rid of your car you might as well save your money keep the 1.2 till you finish the contract and save your money for a new 182 or spend the money modding...
Your have to ring all the companies what is good for 1 young driver isnt good for another confused are good but there offered me stupid money. Direct line were good (£1800 and ££450 excess) and have a decient reputation but adrial flux or green something were very cheap (£1500) but with a...
Its a 3yr contract the normal Renault one. Ive put a message in your other thread best ring Renault finance though and ask them whatn they want to end the contract in say a month. Then go to the dealer as a cash in hand or finacne only buyer so you have more bargening power. Your probably...
Ok so best example is to say this torque is force it never changes. force has no speed though you try and push a wall over thats torque.
HP is torque in relationship to speed or revs.
A turbo car and a N/A car may have the same hp but the turbo has more torque this is low down torque which...
renaultsport83 you owe less than the cars worth so if you take the car into the dealer you will have to pay about 1k just to finish your contract I guess. Your best of contacting Renault finance and asking about ending your contract they may offer the ability to drop your car of at a Renault...
Most of them wouldnt notice a missing cat unless there interested in cars in which case there not going to try and get you for it.
Even if they have a tester and want to do you and you fail the test all they do is give you a form which means you have to get the car to an MOT center within a...
NOS only easy hp mod 20hp should be ok.
Then stip the car out.
Get a Uni chip or similar and have a remap made for 98 octane and one only use that.
Cams should eb about £350 to have all done.
BenR reconed the heard being done should give a few more hp which will cost you about £650 all...
Excellent excuse for a R-Sport one then.
£3 to £4k would be better spent on a 172 or least a 1.6 16V. But then again thats not unique I guess.
Might as well spend the money on a 16V or Williams IMO a better car all round
The front of the Clio has more grip than the back as its got a good heavy engine over it the back has nothing much.
You have to be careful and make sure you have the best tyres on the back of a Clio this swopping ends was the reason I crashed my car I swopped the tyres round so the back ones...
Sound about right that no way of getting anyhting cheaper unless you do a few miles or go under someone else name.
You may be able to get it down to £1400 with a big excess with the one us Cliosport members get a discount with but its not a good company from what I heard and the excess is stupid.
The reason its cheaper with your parents on it is because your such a high risk driver they recon if you dont drive the car all the time ie your parents have it then there less risk of an accident. On my insurance they wanted £200 more for adding anyone else it depends on the company.
It may...
£1k fitting for a GTT then you need to find an engine which can be from £500 for a run down car then spend as much s you want rebuilding it.
As for a 172 engine weel bit more possible £1.5k insalation cost the another £500 for an exteral ECU and remap. A 172 engine and box is between £750 and...
Depends how you drive torque is force so a car with low end torque will be fast even when your not reving it ie my diesel has 50hp at 2k so when I put my foot down in normal driving if has more go.
Torque means nothing realy without knowing what revs have a look at some diesel power curves you...
Ok torque is the force without movemtn if you pust as hard as you can on a car and it doesnt move then your applying a force to it ye but its not going anywhere so youve got say 100lb toque but 0hp as its not moving.
If you then take the handbrake of the car and push it with the same 100lb...
Seems a bit mucjh your looking at paying £4.5k to exchange your car for a 106. Is it realy worth it?
Also my mate mate (always the story isnt it) sold his GTi for 5k same sort of age bit more milage but slight damage to the door which would cost a hundred or so to fix.
21% I belive family discount is and thats off the list price so if the list for the 182 you want is £16k then youd pay £12.8 which is similar to deals you can get if you shop around.
There Williams (same engine sort of) with over 200k on them I belive. Milage shouldnt be a problem just give then a full service and it should be fine.
Your given a 1 month/ 100miles allowance after that then there payment towards warently work goes on a sliding scale. No idea of the figures but say u left it another month then you would have to pay 40% of warently work costs.
Jack it up on blocks and take the tyres of to stop them wering them deflate the tyres.
Thees loads you cna do but its stupid 3 months isnt going to kill it just give it a clean before you put it away so it wont rust and ake sure the garage has no holes in the roof.
My parents Land Rover...
A 172 will cost you a lot more but you need to sit down and work it out and decide if
1 You have the money
2 You have the money to waste.
3 There are better thing to spend the cash on.
4 When can you pick it up
But honestly if the difference is a lot its stupid paying for it...
Ok so you want a 172 but you have very little colateral on your car if any.
Best idea is to go decide how much your willing to spend if you want a new 172 (cheaper than a new 182) then Renault dealers should be able to do you a good deal. However if you want a second hand one then your...
