I paid to much for mine (£10k) but then again I got free insurance and an alarm, mats and flaps for it. Being that you can get the 80hp for £8.8K on import then its not to bad but still 10k a lot of money. I could have had a cup for that sort of price.
But you live and learn
It works but as John says doesnt do much for the car but there no medal for second best in his race. Ive driven courtesy cars like this once or twice and it will get you a bit more speed.
200kg is a lot but striping the car should do it.
Spare wheel and tool kit is 30kg I think. Seats 20kg...
Ok so the free insuracne isnt exaclty clear cut on things.
You can modify the exterier of the car but you have to inform them of what you have done and pay a premium/ increased excess etc. However mods to power output are banned.
Now to the complicated bit some of the Renault insuracne people...
Your looking at some seroious money and work for a supercharger kit there little chance or removing it for warently work unless your willing to work for free and have loads of free time.
The work to fit it well thats difficult to know for sure the site I found for the company who do the...
There 2 different 206CC I think a 1.6 and 2.0 liter.
The 1.6 has 110hp the 2.0 138hp but its heavier than your car and auto doesnt help
strip 200kg out of your car ie seats carpets spare toolkit interior etc and your talking about similar power to weight so you should keep up till 60. you...
This allowance to drive other cars 3rd party has a little clause in it that the car has to be insured by someone else so i could drive my parents car 3rd party (no finance secured on it) but I couldnt register a car in my mums name and say Im fddriving it under my policy as to make my 3rd party...
Not quite sure but an old thread here was on about high the splitter is of the floor seemed the norm was ~160mm with one owner at 180mm high. Mine got 130mm clearance though. Also the pics on the site Ive seen of lowered cars look very similar to mine.
No concrete in the boot usually only me...
If you want some cheap lowering without insurance implications then do some hard driving mine seems low even though its stock. Mine about 30mm down on normal only mod is 24.5k of hard miles and bottoming it out a few times.
I was talking about the warently on the part being invalid on modified parts but they have to prove that the modification caused a failure etc to refuse to pay for the repair
Insurance is a competly different you need to take to a few different advisers but they can just invalidate your claim...
Nope you could have a look at the 1.4 throttle body but I dont think it would fit. May be better trying a 1.4 manifold a and throttle bodie but Ive no idea of the size of them
Better to have a higer letter I think
Related to the safety of the car to resist being stolen the Clio are quite good with there locking door and the imobiliser decient.
Fitting the passenger side bulb is dead esy open the bottne find the back of the light take the rubber cover of twist the ligth bulb holder to one side take the bulb out and thenput it all back together. DONT forget to put the rubber cover firmly back over the bulb else you may loose it.
As...
You wont notice the difference unleess your engin can take advantage of it ie the 172 one can I think but the 1.2 cannot.
Optimax or ultimate are the same sort of thing there higher RON fuel all it means is the burn is more controlled in the piston to the spark plug can light earlier as the...
They may update the software but only if there new updated maps out etc.
The pads might need some of that brake grease on them if there squeeking but are you brakeing very hard of so maybe the ABS is cutting in.
Swopping to disks at the back from the 172 is fine apparenty. How the ABS etc will deal with it Im not sure but Ive heard of a new shape Clio with no probelems just sticking the rear axles on there but it wont be cheap.
As for front disks well apart from the k-tec ones your stuck you could...
Whatever you modify will invalidate the warently on on conected pieces. But under EU law they have to prove the modification was to blame for the failure to refuse to pay out.
If you stick 200hp nitrous onto the engine and it blows up them they wont pay out but an exhaust isnt going to do...

k-tec do a big brake upgrade but that £1.5k I think
The stock brakes sound be excellent unless your driving like your at a race track.
Best upgrade would be red dot brake fuild and some uprated (K-tec?) pads.
Im not sure they wouldnt insure me on courtesy cars as there policy did clearly say 21 and over. But since they let me drive a demostration car at 19 Im confused.
No chance unles you go under someonelses policy but that gets a bit dogy as you will drive it most of the time and the policy holder should be the main drivers.
On your own name your looking at best £3k on limited milage living in the safest area in the world.
You may have some more luck at...
You yhave a 1k or one month allowance I belive it says in the service handbook so you could wait till 24999 beofre you had it done.
I think prices vary between £150 and £250 but thats before they try and add everything else to your bill ie new tyres wipers brakes etc.

Ktecs turbo at 4k is very unlikly to include fitment.
If it were my money Id go for a throttle bodies kit £3.5k should get you a good one which should get you 180hp.
Sound quite reasonable best ring them up .
If they have only just come up with the idea that maybe why they have no feedback.
Sounds like they bought a few to may cups than they could sell and though of getting rid of them using Ebay.
The difference between the two isnt massive.
Ive had 1.2 courtesy cars which do ~95 to 100 the 1.4 will top 115 with more to go.
You will notice the extra power especially if you drive it with loads of people but unless the extra cost is quite small or you want to be different its not worth it.
