Nice one Ahmed, how did you find it to do??? Tempted to do my new car white, but the orange stereo would drive me nuts, so I'd have to take that apart too.....
Indeed, just take off that black plastic boot lining, and then there are three nuts iirc... Not had to do at all!! Grommet from halfrods or local motor factors and you're laughing!
Treat all your plastics with bumper care after that too ;) will make the world of difference
Looks brilliant mate, colour looks so good clean.
The elf sticker needs to come off of the rear window though IMO. Will look much more tidy!
As for the rear wiper, just remove the whole motor assembly and put a grommet in the whole (or get one of the flush covers people sell on here) tidies up...
I knew you'd be in here like a shot when you saw it, just VERY sad its not going to fit a ph1.
Is it definately not possible Tom???
If its a lot of changes, what kind of changes? lol!
Bloody good buy that!!!
Is this the car that was out front when my mate came by to pick up those springs? I said look for a white clio, he said there was one at yours, but not a white one? lol!
That reminds me, must give away those springs as I never found fronts and ended up getting a whole set.
Looks bloody lovely Alex. Really liked the old wheels so wasn't sure when I saw you had turini's to go on, but I'm converted, suits it down to the ground!
I always think you under sell your car tbh, ever since you've got it you always mention the little niggles, which tbqh every second hand car...
Go to bed man!
Oh and PM returned :)
I'm quite sure there is three because the average french man (the type that buys a french hatch) is angry, so needs more than one, the average impatient french man (the type that buys a french hot hatch) is really angry, so needs as many as is posisble.
Its not poo etching (well if its what mine is) I've never seen anything like it tbh, looks like a blob of wd40 or similar? But a good rub with a damp cloth today saw most of mine come off, just need to do the rest (this was my lunch break) lol
How funny, I have a ph1 cherry red (kinda like flame) and noticed I have one of these on the wing today, its stubborn but it does come out if you just rub at it a lot! The ones on you're roof should polish out alright!
Bloody good work so far, higher resolution pictures needed. Keep us updated!!
Do you think the results would be so easy to achieve by hand? Or EXTREMELY difficult?
Any particular ones better than others? I imagin there is probably something better and cheap than whats made by Renault! lol!
Are they much better/easier for keying up a surface that has no damage then?
Its totally fine tbh, speedometers are not actually part of the MOT so you could pass one with out a speedo, you only need the dash for warning lights.
Don't be a pansy!
Everyone always talks about using these to prep things, rather than a fine wet and dry paper, just wonder what they are? After google'ing I've found this thing that resembles a washing up sponge, but surely that can't be right?!?!
Are they really ok for prepping something to paint? (something...
Cheers, I wasnt looking for a spray version of the mask, just asking if the mask is durable enough to spray onto, or whether painting was preferable as it causes less pressure. (I thought spray would have more chance of forcing its way down the cracks where you've cut.
I'll have a go at some...
After seeing your pics with your mates pug, I thought the car was quite nice, but in those top pics it looks bloody beautiful!
What direction are you going with it?
^^ that did make me laugh, a lot.
I think the general consesus is that the back should go a bit higher to match the front, or if you really want, drop the front right down too with some custom springs or similar.
A level car looks good, and most importantly, deliberate, a car where you could...
