FLOL, thats silly mileage, depreciation city... I've had my 172 3 weeks and done like 1.5k miles

I will be doing that very soon, but I just wanted an idea of what controls what first... The door locks but doesnt unlock, so I'm guessing something is just broken.... If I unlock the door from inside, the door unlocks from the outside from that point forward until I lock it again.

Anyone have any idea how the door locking system works on the mk2ph1?? My passenger door doesnt open with the central locking, or the key, so I'm guessing its the unit that is controlled by the locking/key.... So my question is, what is it that I need to replace? i.e what controls the actual...

Car looks really nice mate, gloss white wheels and it'll be lovely, exhaust is such a big improvement. As for the splitter, you could just get a 307 one, look very similar to cup one and are a lot cheaper.

Your problem sounds identical to mine mate, 100% I'm taking mine off again on sunday and gonna try a bit of wet and dry in the body, carb cleaner the crap outta of, then grease it back up good and proper.

It will say on the tyre what size the wheel is. So have a check, if they are 16 they are not standard dynamic, and are 172 alloys.

If you don't already know, then trying to expain it would be a nighmare. But you can get a 30 day free trial from adobe's website I believe.

16" dynamic? The dynamic alloys are 15 iirc?? So unless you mean the mk2ph2 172 wheel? Which looks the same as a late dynamic alloy but is bigger....
