After disconnecting the cable on mine though, it moves sweet as a nut, very smooth etc, no rubbing sounds, and this wouldnt explain the fact it only happens when its warm??
I honestly now think its the butterfly expanding in size slightly with the heat and catching in the TB, which would...
By Mk1 do you mean ph1 too? Or are they different?
Mine is EXACTLY the same Jord, I can tap the pedal and it drops, but when testing the TB in my hand, the spring returns back fully, FAST! (although I'm thinking this could change when hot)
Is it possible that the butterfly metal is expanding...
1.2 Boy? Are you referring to my loyal old motor? I'll have you know that was the finest 60bhp 8v car going!
And yes, you're throttle works, you win. b*****d.
Yeah I have, thats why I mean by it has a nice action, when i took it off, I gave it a good clean with a tooth brush and white spirit...
But what could it be in the TB Jord? There's not much to it really is there?
How hard is fitting a new throttle cable dude?
Any idea if the pedal mech in the car could be sticking?
Got a spare ICV you fancy posting me? I'll post it back if it makes no difference. ;)
Yeah ph1, as I said above, the cable has a nice action, we disconnected it from the TB and it moves fine tbh, I'll try giving it a bit of wd40 love a bit later....
And Aluco, the only thing letting down the rear of my car is that your bonnet dented rust bucket seems to be sporting the spoiler...
Right.... Tried a lot of things to resolve the high idle problem with my ph1 and this I think is now my last resort.
Can I take the throttle pedal off easy enough? Is there anything that could be sticking?
Bit of a background... (sorry for the long read)
The car was idling high, (only after...
Driving along yesterday, car nice and clean, all of a sudden I notice a weird mark on the side of the windscreen, the start of a crack, its now 6 inches long, phoned insurance, glass men are so busy because of the cold weather they cant make it until next tuesday :(

Oh and I'm a douche who leaves his Internet dongle at home so I have no net at work.
I'll mms you the pic of the locking wheel nut (if you save it to your phone you'll be able to zoom in and see it)
Quite a lot of people aren't it seems, and I know people always say this, but it does look better in the flesh. I hope a vee/cup spoiler will tidy it up a bit more :)
Get you sitting on the fence. (not giving your opinion)
Ordering those mats tommorrow :)

Get down to my bexley one :-) will be good. As for a meet down your way, I'd be more than up for a another de dent meet (new car with a few niggles) or some sort of activity? What's down your way?
Looks very nice and shiny Mike, pics leave something to be desired mind ;)
Cleaned mine yesterday too and fitted the ph2 bumper.
You coming to the bexley meet I've set up?
Cheers Dan, yeah it has, I didn't even notice at first, started jacking the car up etc, struggled to get those nut caps off and then discovered the problem!
Its a round head with small cylinders around the outside if that helps.
Oh, and I've defaced the rear end of your beloved car, see the...
Lovely Danielson. Shame it wasnt properly up and running when I came by, would have loved a passenger ride!!! Keep the f1's and if you don't, give them to me. ;)
Oh, the phone call yesterday, as I went to of fit my 172 bumper and stop that sticking brake, I discovered I do not have the locking...
Cool stuff, you got to come far?
Definately a pub there, unless they knocked it down in the last month or so, lol! That postcode is just for the park itself, you can only drive in the park at one entrance, follow that one road, and it leads you to the pub.
Cool stuff, shame Rob is working...
Went to Rob and Danny's yesterday (TheEvilGiraffe and Danny172) and got cracking on the car...
