I stand by my previous statement.
JESUS WEPT!!!!
That's not a car, that's a frigging space ship!!!
He did pick his moment and had more room than the first video makes it look, it looks mental from the viewpoint of the cars he overtook.
As far as I know they were fitted to 172cups and then some later 172s early 182s,
tbh I don't think even the French know which cars they fitted them to.
Oh definitely, the cars totally different from when I bought it,
and I have the opposite of the placebo effect in my head, I always asume any mod isn't going to be as good as people say,
so on a few mods i've been pleasantly surprised.
Remap was the best by far, Fastchip RS Tuner box.
The V6...
Maybe that's it then, as the first thing I did was get a decent exhaust, then inlets, remap, then the JMS V6 airbox/induction setup in that order.
So maybe getting inlets that early on was never going be noticeable.
If you have an RS stamped lower inlet, fitting a matched inlet wont make any noticable difference to the performance. (apparently)
Not sure about the upper inlet though.
The casting on the RS stamped inlets was alot better than standard.
Depends on the casting of your standard inlets, I think mine were pretty good to begin with,
when I got matched inlets I didn't really noticed anything other than a smaller bank balance.
But alot of people have said it's one of the best mods they've done.
Make sure you check your lower inlet...
I work every Sat & Sun, so i'm buggered for meets. :(
Bank holiday Mondays are good for me. haha ;)
(Not suggesting everyone should bend to suit me of course, it's just that posting in here is the only way I can join in)
I've got RS2s on mine and they're great in the wet.
The first time it really pissed it down when I was on the A46 between Stratford upon Avon and Coventry,
the road was like a lake and not once did it feel like I was going to auqaplane,
also when I looked in the rear view mirror, I had two...
Yep i've got two of them, they're called portrait professional & photoshop lol,
that and a make up artist that'll trowell the sh*t onto thier faces if I tell her to. haha
If I was you i'd keep photography as a hobby as there's f*ck all money in it anymore, :(
if I could back in time and tell my 15 year old self to become a dentist I would,
I've never met a skint one, they all drive Porsches and Bentleys. :S
Also you're right, it's not easy to make the fuglies...
I work in another photographers studio as a freelancer, it's a mix of babies, familys, pets and model makeovers.
I pissing hate kids but most of them are well behaved, some of them i'd like to just slap round the head.
Luckily most of the women that come for model makeovers are fit and between...
Like you I was roughly doing the speed limit, ;)
I was on my way to work in Stratford Upon Avon had to be there for 10,
i'm a photographer and I was in the studio all bloody day, so didn't get a chance to go on CS until I got home.
Nice to see another member out on the road, the Midlands can...
That was me mate, you car looked nice and clean unlike mine lol,
were you late for something? ;)
This is the first time anyone has spotted me in 4 years,
I was starting to think I lived in isolation. :p
Cotball where abouts was the 172?
As I was outside a bodyshop today in Bagington.
I also spotted an Iceburg 172 with 182 wheels parked on the curb
outside National car rental Earlsdon.
Around 1:45pm today, was behind me from Sky Blue Way all the way down The Pheonix Way A444,
untill Courthouse Green roundabout at Sainsbury's.
Car looked very nice, as did you. ;)
Sorry no pics lads, I was driving on busy roads and it would have been dangerous,
not to mention a little rapey.
Bedroom : Rear seats, seat belt sockets, Isofix bar and plastic cover for it.
Pantry floor :
OEM airbox, OEM stereo & multichanger, car jack, wheel nuts, spare engine oil, coolant, washer fluid, all the cars cleaning stuff,
engine hoist bracket that fell off the other day while I was driving...
It's good to know that if times get really hard and God forbid I have to get rid of the 172,
there's a cheap alternative that gets along the road well. (with a bit of fiddling of course)
£20-£30quid Tax a year for a DCI, i'm almost angry at that lol,
I just payed £245 quid!!!
Although I do have a sh*t load more power than a DCI, so I shouldn't grumble really.
I think it looks better with a few black bits here and there.
If I ever earn more money and get out of the poor house and finally get a track car,
i'd paint it NATO geen for sure.
I honestly considered one of these when I first got my Clio, coming from Golfs I missed my armrest on motorway journeys.
I've got use to not having one now, but for £23quid I might buy one just to see how I get on with it,
shame there are no photos of it fitted.
