dont forget that the advantages for a peetrol arnt going to be as impressive as that of a turbo charged engine the above company claim 13hp and 21lb extra torque. However I have been thinking...
Try closing the vents in the cabin it maybe that the alarm is so sensative that it detects the movment of air in the cabin and sets the alarm of. Thats what they recomended to do to mine until they had it in to turn its sensitivity down when i took it in. Well thats what they said they did to it.
the fuel computer on my dci seems acurate enough as its within 1.5% of how much fuel has been put in the tank over the past 14000 miles
im quite suprised at the fuel economy of people in there 1.2s i only get 52mpg out of mine and i paid £1000 extra for the diesel economy. So either i drive...
I have to admit i have no idea if this is right but i read on a forum one that the reson ur not supposed to rag it from day 1 is to alllow the pistons to properly bed in slowly. If you rag it then it the piston rings arnt as strong as thy could be and you loose power.
Can someone with some...
I belive that petrol bought from certain supermarkets and cut price petrol station is of a lower quality and affects ur fuel consumption. I used to fill my escort up at the cheapest petrol station around but it make my engine ping an fuel economy was affected but not as much as u seem to be...
CB1A thanks a load for the sheets on the car made for an interesting read whilst eating my tea. I didnt think it would note the times my car has been back and what was one whilst it was in.

Does anyone have any idea what would be required to put any intercooler be it a normal dci80 version or an even larger one on it.
I take it that you need some sort of heat transfere unit and piping to replace the piping presently used to move the hot air from the turbo to the engine.
im...
the two engines are the
65 hp version seems to give about 70hp on the dynos though
80hp version which gives about 85 on dynos
the difference is only the 80hp has an intercooler bigger injectors a new fueling map and a dump valve. they hav the same internals and exhause i believe
the 65...
Am I the only one to think the colour of the clio looks good???
It realy makes you look twice and its definately unique
Each to there own. I dont think however I would be brave enough to have the car painted like that.
if they dont give u a coutesy car try saying ur car has other problems which means it will be in longer:)
say the alarm keeps going of (if u have one)
or the car unlocks itself randomly
or the car doesnt start first time all the time
shouldnt take to long to think of something
i have...
Jonesy
u should get a coutesy car from renale its in the terms and conditions if u car is under warently and they cannot get u a part for ur car for 24 hrs ie if ur of the road for more than 24hrs then they HAVE to supply u with a coutesy car the only reson they wont give u one is cos ur under...
yepe happened to me within 3hrs of getting my new car and they are only the little plastic black ones. they only took one though
i have no idea why they bother there like a few pence or something. its just annoying to have them taken from u.
my clio (65hp) can get upto 72mpg with me behind the wheel but as i have a heavy right foot the rest of the time i get about 50mpg.
i cannot imagine u will feel the diesel clio being much faster, it may feel more so due to the low down torque. But the only fast non modified diesels i know of...
i have always used 1/8 cricket bat oil (think its called linseed oil)
7/8 turpentine spirits
rub it on any affected areas and allow to try for a while, sometime need to use more than one coat to get it back to how it originally was
this is aparently used in the trade
try taking bits of the car start with the speaker cover then the speaker and carry on taking parts out.
as for the misses no idea try trading her in for a new model
courtesy cars rule. nothing is faster, my mates thourght mine was a 1.4 even 4 up.
i think my car needs to go back soon to have something looked at cos i havnt perfected handbrake turns yet.
wonder if i can claim i need one whilst they look at my glove compartment cos it dont open more than...

there build quality seems to be better then renault. They can mess up though...
Hit the limiter and fast as possible without droping the revs too low release the clutch.
dont know how long a clutch would survive for though. should only be done in coutesy cars IMHO
it depends on what diesel you want to chip if its the 1.9 or 1.5

2. by what method does it kill the revs? i belive it does this by cutting the ignition (anyone any idea how it does it on the dci my guess is by cutting fuel flow
3. does hitting the rev limiter gradually knacker the engine? i guess its purpose is to prevent knackering the engine! but i mean...
