I've seen them going for £1,200-£2,500 in rough condition, mint one's are £3-£7k,
but a mate of mine builds off road landy monsters for a laugh,
he's told me if we can get a decent pre 72 lightweight chasis for around a grand, (difficult but possible if a non runner)
he'll drop a disco engine...

The Chip Foose Eleanor is amazing, but for me the clean looking 67/68 fastback from Bullitt is the one.
When my gearbox exploded a couple of weeks ago I bought a replacement from a breakers,
he had loads of 1*2 parts, including a couple of F4Rs one of which I think was a cambelt failure
he mentioned pulling it apart and selling the useable bits.
He might have a sump going, worth a ring anyway and...
Catching up with the weekends BTCC on my day off,

Definately ring them, when my gearbox exploded this guy was very helpful on the phone in terms of telling me what a refurb will cost
and what's involved from a slight refurb to a full rebuild.
Unfortunately my box was shredded so I just bought one from a breakers for £270.
