Remember, you're sucking a big bubble of relatively still air behind you, which is FULL of exhaust fumes. Trust me, I've learnt the hard way that you don't want this entering the cabin.
It lets air out when you shut the door so your ears don't pop with the sudden pressure.
Think it has something to do with keeping fumes out as well.
Edit: Damn you Rob.
Trying to remember who it was who saw someone driving in and wondered aloud whether it was the person they wanted to smack. Had a little giggle at that.
Think I'll have to bring a few whiteboard markers next time and just cover the car in graffiti.
Except it pointed to a location outside so I couldn't bloody find it when I first went and looked. Found it later when I went to lunch but forgot to go in on the way back :(
I was in the fast lane, Civic type R came up behind me, so I pulled into the middle lane to let it pass. After about 20 seconds of it sitting behind me (but still in the fast lane), I needed to pull back out again as there was a car ahead, so I indicated, gave a little time, checked my mirrors...
Like I said, the camera hides the damage a bit. The rear arch is bent in, leading edge of the door is bent in and the wing's pretty knackered (doesn't line up, covered in cracks)
I'm stuck with my iPod atm, means I can't just get the normal image links you get with the desktop version.
Have the direct link.

Re: The CSS pic thread
As long as it isn't right next to all the other cars, it's not too bad. Have a word with a local motor club. However the Heritage Motor Centre's too small a venue.
Fcuking hell, resourceful scum.
What's next? A yozza? 5 years' time and I wouldn't be surprised if they hadn't worked out a way to nick a whole bloody engine.
ALL the lads at work have corsas, and there's only one decent one.
Another of the lads experienced oversteer at 50mph going round a corner in his Polo. He thought the best solution to this scenario was to yank the handbrake. Lamp post 1, Polo 0. They all drive like this.
