are all mk2 door handles compatble ? my drivers side is cracked and want to get some of the phase2 style door handles with the satin silver lever....will they fit on my phase1 ? thanks

yeah, the mdf is much better, was lucky to get an off cut for the rings, otherwise I'm forced to by a 8 x 6 foot sheet.....and I was really just toying around at first and didn't want to spend the money on the mdf, anyways, now that its glassed, no one will know...

here's where is starts, a few ideas, some (free) chipboard and a jigsaw. had the rings cut by a place that makes fireplaces, after botching it the first time (they couldn't understand what I wanted) they re-did it really nicely, even glued the rings together design...

I remember calling renault when I had an option on some scenic handles and they said they wouldn't fit - didn't really believe them. I man why would renault make identically looking handles for just about all their cars on;y to make them different internally - wouldn't really be cost effective...

ja, mine are also stuffed in with the headunit and used factory wires.

I like it a lot, was going to have my handles coded a while back, might still do it. and the spiler loks much better, keeps the roof flowing.

1 x cam belt 3 x ignition coils 1 x wheel bearing 1 x starter 1 x battery 2 x elec window mechs 1 x key oh and the car came with the worng spoiler and when they eventually got the corect one in, they scratched the roof while fitting.

dont forget you gotta have ostrich skin on the door cards.....

taking the ash off is easy - changing stalks - have no idea. to take the dash off you need to first take off the pillar covers - they clip off and remove the steering whell cover - then take out all the screws around the dash and take it off - takes 10mins or so.
