the amp in under the passanger seat (keep it a secret tho ;) )
I actually chode the 2 channel over a 4 channel merely for the fact that the 4 channel wouldnt fit! And now Im craving the fronts to be amped....catch 22.
must investigate putting in another 2 ch or somethig...
ended up juts using the waffle one, but without the big clips - thanks goodness for velcro. Now the woofers safe from the groceries...;)

no george forman jokes please...I need a 10" grill, cant find anything decent here so need to import something from you neck of the woods....
so far considering the perspec one from autoaccoustics...any one have one ? how far do they stick out ?
anyone know of a grill that can "clip in" so...
its a ligtning audio bolt 10" sub, required volume is 0.75 cu. feet.
internal dims of my enclosure is exactly 0.75 cubic feet: 6" x 18" x 12"......(always new maths would come in handy one day....)
finising off the last bits today and should be covering tomorrow......mmm...I can smell the...
yeah, carpet to match the boot but hopefully some grey vinyl inserts on the front panel ??
need to find the perfect grill, the "waffle iron" Im using at the moment, although very practical, looks crap.....well at least those clips that hold it in place, need somethnig more subtle......ideas ?
chip board - yes
used chip board for my current box as I got it fo free, was going to buy MDF but then got more chip for free....bottom line.....Im cheap!
the mdf is sold by a huge sheet and is quite expensive....Think it was about R280.
well, according to the specs, the xmax is 0.1" and the sub debth is 4.9" and the box depth is 6", so in theory accoding to the above should be ok.
lets hope ;)
Ive read you only need at leat 1" behind the magnet of your woofer for a sealed enclosure.
can any one confirm ths, my 10" has a mounting depth of 4.9" and want to build my box with an internal depth of 6", will it be OK ?
I have an amp under the passanger seat, fits in pefectly, (2ch), keeps things neat and tidy. 4ch amp wont go in tho, I would have bought a 4ch if it cuold have fitted, but anyways.
thinking of trying vinyl instead of the usual accoustic carpet, I know can look good if done properly.
but I think youhave to heat up vinyl which I presume can be quite tricky ??
I know this dash removal thing comes up every day, so sorry for a another thread, I really need to see the dash removal guide on the home page, however am not a member, Ive tried to join but the problem is Paypal does not suport South Africa, so until I can work something out Im not gonna get...
after thought, I just got another quote last week which was about R500 a month, Im currently doing it through my dads insurance so its much cheaper.
