had my 4th ignition coil replced yesterday....so now they're all new (well not original)
please tell the replacement ones last longer than the factory installed units ?
cool, I would like to see what he 6x9's look like in the boot.
the way I had to drive to get to a crisis at work today I could never imagine having a box in the boot again. :)
I hate the beep beep beep when you turn the ognition - supposedly a reminder to clip the face off - darn irritating - will only go away if you run all you speakers off an external amp.
hhmmmm.......looks like I won't have the sub at all. So thought I would then connect my 2ch amp to the front comps - and was just wondering if anything would help the sound in the car.
what about if I use the standard comps and leave out the tweeter and fit them in the back - will it still...
do you not get personalized plates in the UK ? here in SA, for a small fee (R3000 or GBP 270) you can get 4-7 digits of your choice followed by "-WP"
can be all numbers, all letters or any combo.
just yesterday I saw "MAN UTD - WP"
ok, wadding in and vinyled up....looks good I think. will post a pic tonight.
covering it was hard work tho......but the vinyl was cheap...20 bucks...about 1.80 pounds.
sealed, I've been fiddling with the gain and x-over a bit and haven't got it sounding quite right yet, it was sounding a little "boomy" on some r'nb stuff.
any tips
can't make up my mind still how I want to finish it, couldn't find a fake suede in the right colour, then I couldn't find the right vinyl, might still paint it but don't have the cash right now and most of the panel shops are closing fro holidays now.
who's used this product for small scratches ?
does it cut into the clear coat only or into the coloour ?
if you polish a part of a panel will you see a difference with the rest of the panel, ie do you have to work a full panel at a time ?
should I stuff my box with some wadding ?
I've read that it helps stop vibrating etc and that it also helps to make the enclosure appear bigger than it is ?
if my fiberglass encloure is big enough should I still put it it ?
should I use that white quilter's stuff or this other thicker...
thanks
yip, glued on with contact, luckily this stuff is stretchy, so just make sure the glue is dry so it make a quick set and pull tightly, sometime you have to make a few slices so you can pull it in a few dirctions to get it smooth.
its not attached, will only use it when the...
finally put my mind to it today and got the thing done.
I doubled up the carpet to get it a lttle more rigid and tucked in under the beading to fill the gap...should be ok for now.
Its fairly tightly wedged in now and with the new fiberglass box having a flat left side it'l prolly...
yeah painting it to match was the original plan.....actually after all the messing around they only charges my R300 (26 quid) for the glassing (I made the wooder structure and they did the rest - its perfectly smooth to paint)
will prolly get a quote tomorrow.
I think I need to make a penel...
well got my box backeventually from the sound shop, couln't wait for them to get it painted - they really messed me about with this one, always "tomorrow" or "I'll call you back" etc.
here it is unpainted.....and too be honest I'm not sure if I like it. What you think?any suggestions for...

its a 1.2 (thats apparently been fiddled to a 1.4)
aI'm sure this has been brought up before, but I got an annoying rattle from my drivers door card, ever since reno took it off to fix the window mech.
