been there done that before in 2004 with my 182 brand new, paid 11,800 - sold for 6650 3.5 years later.
Bought a 2nd hand 172 for £3300
Point is, as tempting as these deals are I won't be doing it again. My mileage justified it originally (warranty was really valuable to me!) but not any more
even the mintest 182 can't be worth much more than 5k now. View some cars up for £6k, £6500 as they'll have to drop their price IMO
Sold mine over 2 years ago for £6650!
Its the quality of the dampers which defines the ride quality, H&R's were always reknowned to have a better ride quality than standard suspension. If you get coilovers which don't have adjustable damping then you're prob not bothered about ride comfort it's just about going low.
I have koni...
Sodding window washer reservoir is leaking and I'm getting a bit of rubbing now that it's running less camber - doh! Only happens when the wheels are pointing to the right and in reverse so not too bad... lol
Hi Pablo, thanks.
I haven't adjusted the dampers much so can't comment yet there I'm afraid.
The -2 was a result of lowering without camber correcting bolts, -0.5 is original renault spec I was led to believe so just went with that again.
spotted today at Knockhill parked very near my 172. It had Ness Motors stickers on the number plate. I left a cheeky wee CS flyer on the windscreen for a laugh, anyone here?
The Konis are good, ride would be better with prolines. On a smooth road they feel amazing but at the softest setting front and back they are too soft the car will bounce about a bit too much for my liking, will experiment with damping soon.
Had some free tickets so ventured up to see BTCC for the first time, was a good day out. Had to leave before the 3rd touring car race but was still good.
Had a bit of banter with Plato as we bumped into him on our way to the car, will get that pic later!
Cheers, Knockhill was good today saw a few clios and I left a flyer on an Arctic Blue 182
Car feels soo much better, amazing the difference with the new track rods and running standard camber again. Need to stiffen the dampers up a bit though
