A few bits ive got recently 2nd hand. Under £100 for the lot delivered which i think is pretty good.
Snap on 3/8 multi position ratchet.
Quality internal/external oldskool churchill, bluepoint and mac circlip pliers to replace my knackered cheap sets.
Interesting stuff.
I have a few 250 filters, should try them.
I do know on other cars (r5gtt's) a larger filter caused oil pressure loss. Again might be specific to them as the oil pressure is not great overall.
Absolutely fit better rear pads to match. I have just fitted ds2500 pads to the back of my trophy and meg r26, and have noted improvements to braking on both.
From looking at the pics earlier it looks like discs are too small and pads will overhang. The trw 197 calipers are pretty crap too not really an upgrade.
All on visu see attached pdf.
160 is the brake light switch.
1016 is passenger side fuse box.
120 is injection ecu.
172 & 173 are rear lights.
Be easy enough. Id stick it in between pins A1/B1 & A3 to test, prob work ok..pins will be marked on the plug.
Im going to try refitting the rubber boot and grease. Mine only rattles a bit at motorway speed/cruising so not bad overall but if it will shut it up its a bonus
Update.
Took the Trophy to a local meet yesterday, Papped on entry.
Not had time to fit the fuel pipe for testing but i have changed the length of the vac pipe to the fpr, shortening it by 75mm or so to see if any change to top end fuelling.
Nothing noteworthy/basically no change on the...
Keep it original colour unless taking the engine out to do the bay and doors off etc. Always looks poor with different coloured engine bay and any missed bits.
Small update
No fuel hose testing yet as was pissing down last weekend.
With this running megane block i have to run associated alternator setup. This runs a renault traffic alternator bracket, megane 225 alternator, aux tensioner, avensis idler pulley which assume replaces the hpas pump and...
Update.
New battery arrived so fitted it this afternoon. Obviously nothing is straightforward and as soon as i touched the negative wire the ring terminal snapped due to corrosion. Luckily i have a stack of terminals left over from building the Trophy's wiring harness.
Hydraulic wire crimpers...
I have an s22 ultra, no issues with curved screen. I have a clayco full cover on and ive dropped it loads of times and no damage. Batterys getting a bit knacked on mine now 2 years in but its been pretty decent. Camera is great.
Id be looking for largest capacity battery for your money.
Updates.
Quick clean up for both dci's on Sunday.
Blue one got a hoover too as doing a load of miles this week, working in Hackney for a few days.
270 miles today as had to make a detour to Peterborough en route. Ive parked it at the hotel and on foot/uber for site visits as the roads are...
Updates.
FTP (fail to proceed) on the meg on Sat. Went to start it up, ign on and starter click, battery flat as fcuk. It did sound lazy the week prior when starting but cant moan as the batt looks ancient.
9.5v not going to work
Ordered a new 075 bosch from Tanya, should be here at some...
Quite a few vw 02m gearbox conversions done over here on the higher powered 172/182 conversions. Can get an adaptor plate and flywheel to suit from Efiparts.
Megane boxes are alright for decent power. Mine is on ndo020 6 speed, tight fit in the engine bay.
Vapour blasted parts look mega.
Give the cam cover and inlet a power wash off before fitting if you havent already, as mine had some left over white media residue on them that was very hard to see and quite a bit came off when washed.
As above all 10mm are slip on, which is usually fine as you still have a small amount of centre bore for wheel to locate.
Stub axle spacer much better option on rear though
Nowt much happening this week, but not stopped thinking how to resolve the fuelling issues.
Ive knocked up a rubber fuel pipe with torques braided rubber and fast flow fittings. Hose is identical to earls pro lite 350 so good for 150deg and 300psi.
Be interesting to see if it makes a...
