Busy weekend.
Trip down to Danny Afro's to get his 197 engine converted kangoo up and running.
I bench read the immobiliser chip on the 197 ecu a while back and created my own virgin immobiliser file. I reverse engineered my own immob and wrote the hex file to suit. This was a bit of a gamble...
Tempted:LOL: i chiselled a floor pan out of a car years ago, but need a bit more finesse /speed on this.
I generally use hand tools to save pissing about setting up power tools. Honestly when i was a joiner many years ago, all we had was hand tools and a cordless drill. Shared a hilti sds...
Makita was the best going back to the late 90's early/2000's when i first started on the building sites. Elu/dewalt was then the nex excellent gear to buy until the brand basically turned into yellow sack and pecker.
Ill be needing to cut a rear qtr off a car soon. Milwaukee m18 recip man...
I think that breather plate is a tessa one for coilpack relocation. Pms new style one is best,id go with that.
I also had one of the bolts deep in the sump round off. Drilled it in situ knackering the sump in the process, right carry on. If yours aint leaking, id leave it.
Quick wash before work this morning. It wasnt really mucky being honest, but any excuse to use my new di resin water filter :ROFLMAO:
In other news, it has a date booked in very soon to see a man about some more horses. Hopefully the power gods will anlign and we will see a good figure this time🤞
All day long mate. No need for 24psi low down on stock turbo, basically flogging the nads off it. Current 21 psi ramping up in mid is much better.
Seen one the other day claiming 330hp on stock turbo :ROFLMAO:
Get it booked in mate. Cold start is great on this now, much smoother and no...
Updates.
Steady drive down to EfiParts for mapping on Sat. Quick catch up with Chris and the meg was straight on the dyno.
Strapped on and ready to go.
As i said in earlier posts, this had been mapped years ago by another tuner. Ive said previously that it did not really feel that...
Updates.
Done a few jobs last weekend ready for mapping on Sat at EfiParts. Oil and filter change, recirc blanking plate and regapped plugs to 0.6mm. No pics as was working fast and nearly cut the end of my finger off on a razor sharp edge on the inside of the aftermarket oil filter it had...
Got myself one this week. £100 for 11ltr filled with resin. Also ordered a tds meter.
Looking forward to using it, will give it a go in the next couple of days.
Updates
Pre mot checked the blue dci on Sat. Quick jack up and all looks good, floorpan etc in really good nick for a 22 year old clio used in all weathers. Not much to note, front tyres need changing sooner rather than later, whilst in the air i greased the brake pipes and selecror bush, front...
Alloy not the right material. Phosphur bronze ollite prob the best but im no engineer.
Ive done about 30thou on my brass bushes now on the dci. I had a look at them on sat whilst doing mot pre checks and no play whatsoever. The car also has no heatshielding like 172 so basically open to the...
The bosch 630cc are in stock but you will need map doing again. From reading the text in the link below, hard to find 630cc deka now.
https://efi-parts.co.uk/product/630cc-4x-bosch-ev14-short-injectors-for-renault-rs/
Send your current ones to efi for a clean and flow test. Prob be ok.
Chris/Efi stock flow matched sets of 630cc bosch.

You could also use meg 250 injectors for around 300hp.
With it balancing ok, wouldnt worry about it. Be fine on the back.
Deal with it if wheels ever need a refurb, or if a spare wheel comes up in better nick.
That will be pretty quiet with 3 silencers in. My trophy has two decent silencers on a 3" system and barely makes any noise.
I would have got the cutout pre silencers for maximum asbo
Clio/meg rs are always expensive in france and spain. Only seems to be uk that they end up at chuckaway money.
Rhd not going to pull more money overseas though in a lhd country. They usually import to convert so need to be priced to suit.
Ive also had that on another car, cv boots s**t themselves and vibration when hot. As i was skint i fitted new boots and regreased the joints. The damage was done and they clicked on lock but i recall the vibration went so got quite a few more miles before sticking a shaft in.
Ive had a 4th...
