Had my new Ar1's fitted to the Technomagnesio alloys a couple of weeks ago. Give the wheels a mega clean as they absolutely needed it.
Cant beat fresh rubber.
Bagged up and on the wheelstand, ready for another day.
Its had plenty of use recently as a daily.
Nothing to report apart...
Updates
Kangoo headlamps were starting to yellow/uv fade on the top. Not the worst but longer you leave it, the harder it is to get them nice again.
Hard to get a pic but on their way at the top.
No wetsanding required, panel wipe, cutting compound / medium pad on da polisher, followed by...
Cheers mate! The turinis were a random fb marketplace find. Lad said he had been struggling to sell them.
Agreed about the steevs, much better in full black than diamond cut.
I think you have been pretty unlucky. I use a bluepoint socket which goes fully on and few taps with a hammer like @Adey. My dci head bolts were tight as fcuk and all came out.
Arp do a stud and nut kit but its expensive and not really necessary on stock 172. Id just purchase a decent snap on...
I always polish the lights first and use the ceracote for uv protection. Seems to last well.
They are a nightmare to read. Only accurate way is to pull stick out on a cold engine and read the level. If you redip it, its half way up the stick
The problem is the drill attachment for final polish, prob as good as it gets. Doubt it would fail a test.
Need a D/A or rotary with a couple of cutting compounds and different pads.
Painful experience aint it, why renault designed about ten different dipstick types for k9k is beyond me. Had same saga with megane f4rt, all different.
I got last box from Amazon in link below.https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07SHJVK4G/?tag=cliospnet01-21
They looked like a cheap thing but when...
Took it out for a test drive with Rstuner on to datalog and it works miles better than the forge.
RsTuner.
The forge was not totally s**t as it was miles better than oem, but it lingered around 30deg on boost occasionally going up to 40ish degrees so overall not great. The wagner in...
Cheers all. Well happy with them has transformed the look of the car.
Fitted the Wagner intercooler today. Had this for ages but finally had some motivation.
Pre start checks.
Bumper off revealing old forge ic.
Forge stripped off and Wagner ready to fit. Its a thicc boy as the intercooler...
Updates.
One thing ive never been too keen on is the 19" steeve wheels on the 250's. I dont hate them but dont love them, not keen on diamond cut wheels and the non symmetrical/directional look of them. They very much remind me of some late 90's aftermarket wheels. The ones fitted are in great...
Updates.
Snapped the original dipstick ages ago on the blue dci when i was doing a leakoff test. After buying several aftermarket shite ones listed with correct part number that were either incorrect length, incorrect fitment, crap quality or all 3, i finally found an oem ren one for sale (or...
