Ive been invited to a 20 year anniversary Trophy meet at a great location tomorrow.
Been pretty busy this week and prep has been left until last min. Pulled out of garage this morning early am before work, checked fluids, tyre pressures etc and quick clean. Battery on and it fired...
Handling wise, prob fuckall in it for slow day to day use on the top good brands michelin, conti etc.
Wear rate is something else though. I ran goodyears on the kangoo and the wear rate was ridiculous for road tyre/road use. The cup2's i replaced them with are wearing loads better in comparison...
If hes going to measure the crank properly to check the new bearing clearances are correct when fitted, renew them as getting there.
If its a slap in and send it with no measuring, id prob stick with originals

Changed pollen filter in blue dci last week. I always forget to do this and god knows when i changed it last, so was pretty grim as expected.
Insurance is up on both dci's. For some reason these have always been a bit dear to insure for what they are and always around mid to high £500...
CSF done!
600 mile round trip in total. 130miles of that on track and the car performed well with hardly any issues. New brakes felt mega, and current ar1 tyres lasted the day.
Only casualty was bonnet pull failing at lunch time. My car ocd was going into overdrive worrying about fluid levels...
Ive had a pre wired ev1 injector plug in the trackday box for years, you would have been welcome to it mate.

Front ns will be about done on half day if your sending it. Prob get away with it if rotating them. Mine are 3mm/2mm and one is on wear bars so going down on roads. Get em finished off
Its immobiliser that is the issue, never start with solid red.
Key is being recognised but no comms between uch/engine ecu. I would start with checking the white plug for corrosion in fusebox and check the can wires for continuity.
Could even be immob relay. Need clip on it ideally.
