I bought my 182 back in 2012 for £1,800.00 from a respected member on here - turns out it was a complete dog, and I spent over £1k to put it right. That said, I should have done my homework a bit more in the first place!
I viewed 5 early in the year, x2 ph1s and a ph2 under 1k, and they were...
Its ridiculous, and hasnt got any better by the sounds of it! I had my EP3 done a few years back - they stole the parcel shelf and smashed window and boot panel in doing so - I had a name, car, registration (I chased them off), and the police said they wouldnt persue it any further due to lack...
I would bolt the rack to the subframe, jack the subframe up, do the front two bolts, then jack the rear up and make sure the pinch bolt is in alignment, then once the subframes on and bolted up, do the pinch bolt. I wouldnt put the strain on the column, Ive heard it can damage it.
Ok,
Done some reading up and thinking of this;
APC diluted spray/dwell/hose off
Valet pro Citrus pre wash spray/dwell/hose off
Iron X spray/dwell/hose off
2bm wash with autoglym shampoo (not the one with the conditioner)
Dry
Rejuvinate < is this needed?
Collinite insulator wax or blue paste...
Is it worth using after a clay though? I like the idea that it gets rid of water marks etc, but I would need to purchase a hard wax instead of the EGP I was planning on using.
And @Knuckles thanks, I was planning on a thorough hose down between all stages anyway and changing mits/applicators...
It says it is on the blurb, a very mild one though. Im really not sure if theres much point then.
Theres a tardis 'clone' on ebay, but il look at that tar X as well, cheers. Il get a mild clay bar as Im worried about marring the paint.
After claying, if I hose it down and dry it again would...
Thanks for the reply.
It is a pre-wax cleanser but it says its a 'glazed based abrasive'? Is there anything more mild I can use, or is there any point after a decontamination?
Im also hoping that if I use b&t remover and iron X I wont need to clay?
Hi everyone,
Picking up my new car in about 2 weeks, a brand new Cobalto Blue Alfa Romeo Giulietta.
I have told the dealer not to valet it, just to pressure wash it.
I was planning on spraying a diluted APC, hosing off, autoglym bug and tar remover (again, spray on), spray off, iron X, spray...
Thanks haha.
Yep, with either rubber hose (reuse some of the pas hose), or brake hose, see this thread;

Autosteer knew there was a difference between the DCi racks and sorted me a 2.75...
Im in the process of doing this on my ph2 172.
Removed the rack, pump, all the lines (what a pain they are!).
Fitting a DCi 2.75 turn rack - ring autosteer direct they do refurbished ones. Make sure you get the rubber boot and the sensor to plug the holes.
You can loop the standard rack and...
Thanks. Id prefer to do it there purely because it looks neater and is out the way! As mine has abs my options are limited until further down the bulkhead and then im worried about corrosion!
@GrahamS did you have to remove the dashboard to get the longacre battery connector through? I had the top off today and looks like i have to remove the whole dash!
