Got to be something that will work without too much fuss. Cheers for the heads up on custom adaptor brackets will bear that in mind. Thats what i love about cs, so many skilled people on here that can sort a solution👌...
Will have a look into both (y) stub axle is removable on this but its massive compared to any of the clio/meg from memory. I done a bit of digging last night and it looks like the id of the kangoo rear bearing is 30mm/62mm which is r26 spec so the 300mm mk2 rs discs might bolt on. Abs rings look...
2025 update.
Winter has about fcuked off so best get some prep done ready for the kangoo's return to the road.
Checked fluids, Disconnected injectors and coils and cranked engine to prime oil system. Once injectors and coils connected, hit the switch and it started instantly with no fuss as if...
My mate had similar rear knock on low speed braking on passenger rear. Ive just changed discs and pads etc today and seems to have dissappeared, unsure what the issue was but bearings looked tired, pads werent the best too.
Might be worth checking caliper bolts tight and pads not making a break...
The milwaukee one defo worth a look, ill get one bought soon. Ive not seen one until tonight as was looking for 2nd hand snap on but they all are similar dollar used
Get yourself an oldskool mash hammer with wooden handle like i was using yesterday
In all seriousness i used a snap on 32oz deadblow ball pein hammer in a garage i was working in a while ago and it was leagues ahead of the old wooden ball penis.
Milwaukee 32oz might be worth a look...
Updates.
Wheel bearing day. Everything stripped off ok and disc off in ten mins. Loads of grease in hub area which did not look like bearing grease but it had chucked some out of both sides regardless, bearing sounded terrible when spinning.
On inspection
Removed abs ring as needed to be off...
Running rich suggests a cylinder isnt firing due to excess fuel or lack of spark.
Resistance test the injectors and should be able to see which cylinder is not firing when looking at the plugs.
You should be ok removing inlet and reusing gaskets. I done it several times on my old one.
I would be looking at plugs, leads and injectors. Injector can fail at any time on these.
Also make sure lambda plug has not been disturbed as in the area.
Febi bilstein type d is exactly the same as oem green, premixed.
You can still use premixed if its been filled with water, just drain system, i usually take a hose off and blow through header tank.
K9k 1.5dci.
Engine has had a bit of work, new piston rings at 143. Fuel system has had work before asminjectors not original, possibly original high pressure diesel pump though.
Weekend update.
Bit of nice weather for a change so its been on daily driver duties. Nice using something fast after diesel all week.
Little & large. South gare with the rc car.
Rear wheelbearing not done yet, its only slightly noisy so not in the danger zone. I might need to remove abs ring...
Wouldnt do lower inlet manifold gasket myself unless necessary. Have to disturb fuel line and injectors etc, potential for breakages.
You could probably get away with removing top half of plenum and reuse original gaskets. I removed and refitted mine several times without replacing.
Updates.
Not a massive lot to update to be fair! Been using it a bit including a run to lincoln 280 ish miles. Great on fuel for 2.0t when driving steady high 30s mpg are easily achievable. Been monitoring coolant level and has not budged since waterpump change so all good.
GIve it a quick...
