You should never have to adjust the hand brake as it's got its self adjusters in the rear drum mechanism. Make sure they are free'd up.
I had that with the door. Replaced the mechanism and it resolved.
Also be very bery careful with brake nipples, they can very easily sheer. Hit them first to...
anathracite wheels usually means cup pack suspension. Someone could have changed the spoiler I guess. My 182 with cup packs didn't have the splitter on the front either.
Measure the hubs is the best way to check. Swapping the hubs for non cup is very easy though.
are the headlights working with the stalk or is it just the auto function? There are 3 relays under the glovebox which control the auto lights and one for the intermittent wipers.
Unplugging the UCH won't cause it to have a problem. It is programmed to work with the ecu, key fob and decoder...
How odd! The system works using resistance in the wire like this
so I wonder what's happened. The 197 buttons are the same resistance as the 182 so I'd bet the laguna ones are okay. Believe the wire colours changed in the clios too
yeah the looms for the heating are completely different. When i retrofitted climate control to my car I could only use one or two of the original heater loom wires.

Brakes I would check all of the ABS rings to see if they have splits in, if they do it causes the brakes to be absolutely terrible. Then I would wire brush the rear brake shoes, clean the drums, sand the glaze off the front pads and clean the discs. Should make a world of difference.

it wouldn't be obvious as the wire could have snapped and pulled away 1mm. Check the squib is working by putting a multimeter between the pins on the back of the squib (top 2) and the pins in the CC plug.
11mpg that's chicken oriental. Audi will hold it's money well! Not on topic but all the 318ds I'm looking at have nearly 100k on which is very annoying and I know the prices will hardly shift.
I struggle to mention a car which handles better, is that quick, still returns decent mpg and has cheap parts for that price!
I'd never buy one new though because the depreciation is unreal.
on my seventh at the moment having peaked at my last 182
4 dcis
3 sports, 1 ph1 and 2 182 ff
I always get asked why I like Clios and it's just that you cannot beat their bang for buck.
Now I'm trying to move away from them though as I was a hassle free car ownership. I was looking at BMW's but...
