I was going to say it seems a waste to rip that apart Daniel.
I suppose I'm asking a lot to find one that's riddled with rust with a good engine and a manual gearbox lol
Because the Megane is done and I'm not spending any money!
And this would be just a quick and dirty project to keep me busy on the weekend that sounds like a v8
Yeah the BMW v8 is winning so far.
I want to avoid f**king about with mating gearboxes to engines they don't belong on tbh.
Had enough grief with the French POS in the garage when it comes to that s**t
Yeah been looking at cars but it's easier to find engines.
I'd also rather not have the car hanging about, then again it might be handy for parts lol.
The trouble with audi's is they are fairly modern engines which cost more to buy and for parts.
BMW's seem to be the middle ground then you...
I just want the engine and box to drop into something stupid, however, if I have to buy a car to do that then so be it hence no budget.
As cheap as possible means just that. Best bang for my buck.
Been looking at E38's for roughly £1500
I'd agree if every game wasn't the same and had a decent story mode behind it.
Everyone seems to skimp on the play these days and just ship out mmo s**t all the time.
Then it's all the same
Rinse and repeat.
I haven't bought a console game in years
I designed my own bench, just didn't think to put anything on it. I used to store my car cleaning gear there but they weren't in the best place and then I acquired 2 welders that were better suited under there but no room for the bottles etc.
Yikes, upset a few people lol.
I'm quite happy working in a shithole.
Just curious how others keep their garages tidy because mine is tidy at some point.
The thread title is a little misleading to be fair I don't actually need help I'm just being nosey.
Apologies if it confused the more...
I've got them they ended up full of s**t lol. I should have put nuts and boots in them but instead I used a load of celebrations boxes from Christmas.
As for shelves for screwdrivers I've found it's either putting all your tools on the walls or in your toolbox. Either way I never put them back lol
Thought I'd utilise this new forum.
I'm a scruff, my garage never stays tidy because as soon as I clean it, I work on stuff and do t clean up after myself - rinse and repeat!
The main issue I have is nothing really has a place and things don't fit anywhere and it all ends up on the bench.
So...
You can get hex adapters but the weakest point on them is the collar for locating it into the chuck. They are what...? 4-5mm in diameter?
Even 120nm wheel bolts would give that a good run for its money. The gun no doubt is capable but the head is just completely not fit for purpose
