I once drove my old Monaco 172 through a stretch of water three foot deep and had no problems so hopefully you get it sorted.

General Chat. It'll definitely be due to budget tyres. I spun my 172 on a roundabout because it had a pair of Infinity tyres on the rear.

I would recommend using a more trackday focused tyre. I've been using Yokohama AD08R tyres all year round for a while now on my R26 and 172 as I don't have space for spare sets of wheels. They have lots of grip, take a lot of abuse on track, and I've had no issues using them in extremely wet...

Yes, they're good for winter use. I've had no issues with very wet conditions in my 172 or R26.

AD08R is the better tyre to use on track. I've got a set on my 172 and they wear much better than PS3 tyres would on track. I changed the front tyres on Saturday after doing 12k miles including 9 laps of the Ring and a half day at Blyton Park. Rear tyres still have 4 or 5mm left as well.

One of the bearings was damaged but rest were described as noisy/sandy feeling. Fletch mentioned your diagnosis, hope it's all coming back together ok.
