lol like a little slice of Dieppe in the Shire.
There was a cup a numbus 197 and my 172 in my development but the only one that came through the winter was mine!
Aye it's fine will do an oil and filter change as matter of course, brakes are rubbing a bit due to surface rust but I'll use the car for a week once it's out of the bodyshop and all will be well then I'll MOT it.
put aside money each month to cover fuel, insurance, tax, tyres, brakes etc worked out at a monthly cost per month e.g. front tyres last 12000miles doing 1000miles a month = 2 tyres each year = £20 a month
separate car bank account stylee then you'll not get any big surprises. I don't do this...
Exactly that in my case, happened in mine last week so I popped the passenger seat forward and reached under wiggled some wires and the light went out instantly.
There was a fault code showing in diagnostics mode 'h' I think not checked to see if its gone away.
A very new 04 plate 182 purchased brand new in June 04, didn't join here till Jan 05 but was a user late 04 after a friend told me about it:
Come to think of it, had a 205gti too:
Passed a black RS Clio 172/182 at around 8pm last night on Alexandra Parade, I was in the silver 172 heading away from town with xenons ablaze.
Anyone here?
Aye good pics will be nice, with the 172 would be cool - reinact my old blue pug and blue 182 pics.
Front on (excuse the missing screw cover and rusty towing eye!):
And the nice fresh foglights:
aye it has but the 172 is going to cost me far more so it's not the same at all. Plus I like returning a classic to the roads.
Fitted new fog lights the other day and today drove the car for the first time in a while to drop it into the bodyshop for the doors and tailgate to be fitted, should...
40psi in the front is bad enough but 40psi in the back is dangerous lol
I always run my 182 and 172 at 32f, 29r but renault recommend 33f, 30r.
I never trust a garage to get it right so I would always check my tyre pressure myself afterwards.
Restricting yourself to a dealer isn't ideal as you could get a car that's been a dog. Granted you could get that buying privately too but when I was buying my 172 I wanted to know the previous owner so I had an idea of how robust it was. My 182 was a good one - no real issues just minor niggles...
