It looked like it had disintegrated so I'd advise anyone removing the sump not to reseal it with sealant!
Glad we've only used a sump gasket on my new engine.
I stripped down the old engine this morning.
Oil has been leaking from the oil breather and rocker cover.
Started by removing the cam belt, you can there was oil on the tensioner and cam belt cover.

Cylinder head removed
Bores look ok and you...
You'll need a different mount as well for Bedford etc as MSV don't allow suction mounts.
Tempted to get a GoPro as Argos are selling them for £99 at moment.
Agency Transmissions say the gearbox will be ready either tomorrow or Friday.
Turbo will be back early next week as well so by end of the week I should finally be able to drive the car again :smile:
Plan is to run engine in for 500 miles then book it into RS Tuning for mapping.
The lsd is fine but they've now found that one of the teeth on the pinion is damaged. Bit annoyed it wasn't noticed the first time.
Turbo is at CR Turbos to be hybrid'd this week.
Hopefully I'll get gearbox and turbo back by end of week and I'll be able to drive my car again sometime next...
Gearbox is back at Agency Transmissions now. Martin says all the gearbox internals, bearings, casing etc looks good. He's getting someone to inspect the LSD and will be phoning tomorrow with an update.

I'm sure the Williams was owned by a member on here as he came to South Central meets. He tried to sell it instead of scrapping but nobody showed any interest in buying it.
