The adjusters were checked/reset before fitting. The noise is exactly the same as before the box was rebuilt so not clutch or flywheel related.

It's rattling when not under load. Does it on the road and when the car is in the air on the ramp. It's same noise as when I stopped driving it so can't be clutch, flywheel etc as they're new. They don't think its the driveshafts and gearbox has been rebuilt so must be the diff.

I'll give that a go then.

I'm pissed off at moment as my rebuilt gearbox is still f**ked! It seems to be the diff that's damaged despite Agency saying the diff was ok.

Bump. This isn't far away now. We usually meet at Tesco Chichester and convoy to Goodwood if anyone wants to do that.

Sounds good to me. I'm not great at mechanics but stripping the caliper down should be easy.

I can come and give you a hand this weekend if you like. Got to do 500 miles to run my engine in so visiting you would help me knock a couple of hundred off :)

LSD would be a good upgrade but Tim doesn't track it enough to justify the expense IMO I need to ask for a passenger ride next time we have a meet!

Thanks Matt No problem, hope it went as well as it can do. Cheers, there's lots missing that I need to add as well at some point. Yes, engine has been run up to temp now. There were a couple of coolant leaks so once sorted should be ready to go.

Battery is connected to a booster so that's fine. I don't know if anything is showing on the dash. The connections all look ok to me. It must be something not quite right when it's been swapped over.

Battery has been disconnected since the start of August. Central locking still works fine.

Problem at the moment is the engine isn't getting any spark. Looks like an immobiliser issue.

My friend Mike who owns A Welsh Motors in Basingstoke has built it all. I'm going to run it in on the road then drive it to RS Tuning for mapping. Plan is mineral oil for first 500 miles, changing after running engine for 20 minutes, then after driving 25, 100 and 500 miles. Then change the...

I picked up the R26r clutch from Martins Renault this morning and dropped it off at the garage. Check on progress after work and the engine and gearbox are now in the car :) There was an issue with it getting spark so it only fired up briefly but it did sound good!

There's supposed to be a thread for all regions but doesn't look like it's been started yet.
