Any car is welcome it doesn't have to be a Renaultsport or a Clio.

Think that must be the issue then. The clutch fits the flywheel but the cover plate is to deep for gearbox to fit. Got an oem clutch arriving on Monday so fingers crossed it fits.

Going with the .r clutch, unfortunately it's on backorder from Renault and LUK part number that's supposed to be the .r clutch isn't the correct one.

Had a meeting at Celtic Manor yesterday so decided to visit Merlin Motorsport on the way back. Ended up buying a 1litre Mocal catch tank, ITG breather filter and Odyssey race battery. Still having issues with finding the correct clutch, hopefully it's sorted today.

Text me if you want a lift. Though if it's not ready I might jump in with you if that's ok.

Are Renault trying to make every new car uglier than the last? Looks easy to steal a new one if it gets damaged though.

I've invested too much to not run it in properly. Do you want a lift on Sunday?

When I say Clio I mean a proper one like a 172 ;)

The only thing a Clio is better at is getting the back end out on roundabouts.

I'd say 5mpg worse on fuel on average and tyres. brakes etc are more expensive. Link to the R26?

Update on progress to date. I collected the gearbox from Agency Transmissions on Thursday 4th September on my way to Birmingham for a meeting. KA felt good with an LSD. Work paid for the mileage and saved on courier cost so win win :cool: Safe to say I properly smashed the gearbox up :o...

Sorry, this isn't happening. After the initial lack of interest and my car being off the road I forgot about it and in last couple of weeks been busy with work so didn't have opportunity to contact Castle Combe.

Powdercoated parts are back, pleased with the finish, colour is RAL 9007 Grey Aluminium and has a slight metallic effect which is good. Supertech valves in the new head. Sorry for the blurry pic. Rods and pistons ready to go in the block. I'm going to collect the gearbox...
