mine does this a bit it kinda slips a little when cornering reasonably quickly and it torque steers more than my 182 ever did too so I figure somethings loose / worn.
I do know my back right shock is burst too so that explains the wondering back end but I always did enjoy that lol
cant do it any harm being no.1, bit different 80k isn't high for these engines but I bought a mk2 phase 2 172 on 56k for under £3500 so I'd be looking to pay as close to £2500 as you can for it.
when you start the car hold the trip computer button (end of stalk) in and watch the dash light up, cycle through the info on the screen using the same button and if there's any fault codes stored it'll tell you, it'll also be the only time you see the speedo hit 160mph lol
Check for leaking...
Not keen on the front at all, may grow on me. I don't have any doubt in how good it'll be to drive though. Things have quite simply moved on since the 172 / 182.
the poll needs a FF is BS option cause it was just a flippant comment from someone here and it stuck.
IMO a 182 with leather and climate regardless of cup pack's is full fat i.e. not the poor mans choice but I can see why it'd be considered semi skimmed and a 182 cup would therefore be skimmed...
FPMSL
Back on topic, not the worst price I've seen and at you must have been happy with the price and are aware of the belts so didn't jump in with your eyes closed - enjoy!
And the Escort is very tidy.
Posted a few before, white phase 1.5 still a work in progress - retoration jobby to be sold this summer.
Fitting new lock set, tailgate, oil cooler and engine mount soon hopefully...
Nice idea, best of both worlds but your phase 1 already has phase 2 bits therefore already has all the best looking bits. I'd drop the cup engine and suspension onto the phase quick
