    AlexW's Driveway Antics :)

Need to sort my inlet pipe now. I'm sure there're a few horses in there! good about the abs, shame you had to buy the sensors in the end though. ph1 dribbling

    Working with ferraris

Well I saw the name of the company on a van...... I used to check their stock all the time at my old work. Have just the most beautiful and pristine cars for sale that I spent hours and hours looking at. An experience you'll never forget, that's certain!

Pain in the arse Parrot kit!

Yeah it will. If you know which is the ignition live and hook a 12v to it to test with the other permanent 12v connected and ground you can test.

    Retrofitting one touch windows

You should be able to ammend the plug so it fits. Much the same as fitting a 197 airbag to a 182. Just requires a little bit on the plug sanded off. Give it a go, if it end up fitting both you've lost nothing. As in the diagrams for the ph2 you also need to have the wiring going from the switch...

You're welcome to cover over to Wateringbury sometime next week if you want and I'll have a look for you.

Pain in the arse Parrot kit!

Fixed a problem with one of these the other day where the ignition fuse for the radio had gone when it was being fitted. Replied in your other thread about your other problem

    Retrofitting one touch windows

This is obviously PH2 info but this is the wiring. 22d and 22f are the wires for the one touch window. 645 is the UCH, r3 is the door/body connector. VE is the green block within the smallest connector on the UCH. https://www.dropbox.com/s/o4hv2gvyq0lmqfl/One%20touch%20windows.PDF

    Airbag Connectors

If you can get the car on clip you can configure the airbag ECU without those airbags. Take a photo of your wires and I should be able to tell you which wires the resistor need to go between if the above isn't possible.

    Clio III Climate Control Retrofit

It's just so much more hassle than you think, trust me. Unless you've got a mk3 you're breaking and all the parts are available to you, you're proficient at wiring and got hours and hours of free time it's not worth it. I had all the parts available to me and it too over 20 hours from start to...

    Parrot Kits

Lol at declaring. An insurance company really wouldn't give a damn. On the ph2 the mute goes into the "mute 3" bullet connector. You should have mute or pause on the display depending on the radio you have. I know it's a PH2 but the mk3 has a similar panel. Mounted a couple of ck3000 kits like...

    wind deflectors

Having them to stop the rain coming in is good. I would say the drip when standing still even worse than without them. Great mod if you don't have AC. If you have AC they are a little pointless. In the A/C delete 182 it was the only mod my girlfriend approved of.

    Retrofitting one touch windows

Vagcom is just a cable but clip is a box of magic. As Raz says almost everything of interest that only Clip can do is pretty scary stuff. I have screwed up once as Alex knows when I wiped my ECU, I learnt from that and know how to use the thing now. Just been out and had a play with the Clios...

    Retrofitting one touch windows

N2 shows whether it's a one touch passengers window but then doesn't give the option to invert the selection so it does have it. Same with the rain sensor as I found out recently.

    Lowered dCI 80

Looks very clean considering the kilometeridge Explain the 2.2 dci bit at the top. I hope you're planning a beast of an engine conversion ;)

    Retrofitting one touch windows

Ay I has seen it yarp. It's down like its an option in the UCH on some cars but doesn't give me the option to put it in when reprogramming mine. Can't do it on the N2 from my experience and haven't yet tried on an N3. As Ethan has a mk3 I'm not sure but as he's local I'm happy to give it a...

Smokey Clio dci 80. Any knowledge on here?

No worries Dan, seems the crank sensor question has been answered now. If the injectors have a little leak around them then the copper washers are only a fiver for 4.

Smokey Clio dci 80. Any knowledge on here?

I'm betting on it being the turbo. Doesn't sound like a boost leak. You can take off the boost pipes on the 80 easily to see what's going on and if there's oil everywhere. Turbos do come up, end suffix 002 fairly frequently (on ebay) and are the same for the megane/scenic/clio 80. Anywhere...

What's the worst car you have owned and why?

You had the same as us then. This was easily the worst car my family has ever owned, always having to go to the dealer to get sorted. Was really disappointed with the build quality and finish considering it was a BMW. Never could fathom out those window switches! My worst car, first 182, needed...

    Speedometer problem

There is a little bit missing from the corner on the negative side, just make sure it's in the same place as the one you took off.

Clio 172 resonating at 80mph + . More speed related than rpm.

how on earth are you going to move the engine forwards. That's a highly unlikely scenario and it's better for you to make sure everything is nipped up and got the clearance it needs. What sort of noise? metallic, grinding etc. Is there vibration in the steering wheel?

    Speedometer problem

assume your speedo sensor is abs driven and not gearbox mount. Unless you've fried the circuit board and got it too hot then no.

    Sunroof leaking, not seals though

The drain for the sunroof is in the skuttle so the above is unlikely to cause a problem. Bet it's still the seals though

    Immobilser Problems

Have you tried syncing your key again? Have a search on how to do it as I forgot exactly. you can't just try the decoder ring as it's programmed into the immobiliser so a replacement won't plug and play

53 plate clio humming when doing 20+ mph

Jack the car up. Hold the spring and spin the wheel. You'll be able to feel if the bearing is rough in your hand on the spring. Compare it to the wheel with the new bearing
