New HDDs are so cheap, you could get a new 1-2TB for £50 from Amazon/Ebuyer...
If it were me, I'd buy a new external HDD, plug that into the new computer, format it so Windows is happy, plug it into the old computer with the old HDD too .. copy/paste, make a cuppa..........
Plug new one...
I would imagine Renault UK would be helpful with this ? They seem to be pretty good with most issues...
There'd be at least a 10 or 12 year anti-corrosion warrenty, providing it's all original still (the tailgate I mean) surely ?
Ah good. Another satisfying confirmation that terminating my eBay account was the right thing to do many years ago !
Goooooooood grief.
No time wasters ? Hello bored people of CS...
SRS ?
Call them up, speak to someone with an IQ greater than their shoe size and sort it out. What is anyone here going to tell you that you won't already know !?
Saved up for coilovers by buying a new car IIRC.
/no further questions, your honour.
Surely you could lower it 20-30mm until March and see how you get on with it ! Would be stupid to raise/lower it every other day after checking the forecast. The handling should be better when it's not snowing anyway, as the springs/dampers should be firmer than OEM...
Best bet is (if...
Hoover the roads or stop driving.
:coffee:
Seriously though, what do you normally do on a Sunday morning cleaning the car ...? Bucket of suds, sponge and a coat of TurtleWax scrubbed off with your finest Chamois, or have you got £100's of CYC/i4d kit sitting on your shelves...?
The thing with low powered engines is that it costs a lot of money to get them to have a worthwhile percentage. With a 172, supercharging or ITBs is about £3-5k for a ~30% power increase, and in my mind that's a waste of time as for the money you could get something stupid quick and interesting...
If you're happy with OS X anyway, you'll already know how to set up the trackpad, gestures and hot corners the way you like...
Not sure what you mean about uninstalling windows programs !? There's not much on the machine when you get it. Certainly no sh*t that Dell/HP install filling the...
Depends what you're after really.
If you want a small hot hatch, the RS is probably about the best bang/buck out there. VTS/106GTi bit smaller but not much slower. Civics are more expensive and a little larger...
However, there's a hell of a lot of cars out there for not a lot of cash...
Ha.
As mentioned, bin the t-cut.
Car looks tidy, I would have said they were 17s too, but I guess the lowz help. Not sure if I like them or not but it's your car not mine ! Other than that, nice work :)
Regarding the photos, don't hold the camera above your head like the first shot :rasp...
You already know you're going to do it... we've been through this already dude.
Ph1 FTW - then tinker to your hearts content fitting a Ph2 dash (f you can't cope with the plastic blue epicness of the 90's Clio interior), cup spoiler, coilies, LEAVE THE PH1 BUMPER ALONE!!!!!!
Done :D...
Go buy some tools for goodness sake !
£100 150-pc toolset from Halfords will see you right... £20 for some stands, bit more for a jack if you don't fancy using the Renault WidowMaker.
Handy for the next 50 years of your life from changing exhausts or stripping an engine, to putting...
I didn't even get half way through a set of Paradas on my Ph1 which was driven hard everywhere, in about 18k. Swapped front>rear after about a year.
At the £28 a corner it cost me, if they lasted 6 months for the grip they give I couldn't really care :D
