Best thing I did was a set of matched inlets (on top of s/s exhaust, decat and filter) to release the bottom end of the revs. Before inlets were done, it was gutless under 3k, 3-4.5 was ok, then 5 it took off. After, it pulled freely from 1500RPM. Forced induction is the only really good way...

I got a £35 one (own branded) from Hellfrauds mainly as it was the same fitment to my lance after moving out of the 'rents place, and it was cheaper than buying a new lance. It's been fine for the last year :o

Mine does this too. Sometimes up to a minute out of 'sleep', screen comes on but it just sits there frozen. It's 3 weeks old... I'm just living with it for now as it's not really the worst thing ever. If it gets worse, or I get fed up I'll take it back.

Next time you do a few miles of normal driving, check to see if the discs feel hot. You could have a sticky calliper, but my guess is that could be a lack of brake cooling and hours of hammering around a race track ;)
