Jack it up, crack the nuts .. pull it off carefully .. job done. Reverse the procedure on the other car... job done.
Might want a bit of heat on the ones joining to the cat mind... drown them the night before and the morning too in PlusGas/penetrating fluid... What's the problem ?
I'm an...
Ha. Never mind ;) It was a shed (seriously).
Rich's Ph1 is the old RS-T white one, stripped, full cage, buckets.. a dinky steering wheel and er... not a lot else last time I saw it. Not sure why he wants a Cup over that but then I'm still a yoof, he's old. Tastes change later in life. ;)...
Not for WB ... it's just colour temp. Doesn't matter what you've shot. Makes no difference.
First one's too cool IMO... never mind.
Stop spamming your own thread :rasp:
Anyone else got any photos !? This is a media section after all !
Go drive one.
Then tell me you like the bus steering wheel, awful seats, comedy seating position, dreadful electronic throttle and the generic Mk2Ph2 looks......
You'd only do your own car once or twice a year. Do it before winter, seal the car properly, winter protection done.
Do your Mum's, Dad's, Nan's, Aunt and Uncle's cars... Got any friends ? Do theirs too for a bit of beer money :rasp:
If they're worn out, the pistons may be wound out too far and are not happy releasing now ? You can check the thickness of the outside pads without even taking the wheel off, probably the inner ones too if it's on full lock the right way ;)
Enjoy !
High speed stops, or any speed ?
Sticky caliper, or fubar'd pads ? Are they due a change perhaps ?
Get a friend to stand/sit/crouch on the pavement, come to a rest by them, then set off. They should be able to see if it's the front or the rears clonking...
Just do it :)
More pics not possible .. had no recent befores anyway, and I won't be seeing her til next w/e anyway, by which time it'll be hanging again.
Car finished .. not a 100% correction by any means, but a bloody good effort for my first go if I do say myself :approve:
Would have got some proper pics but I really couldn't be bothered after spending 7 hours on the damn thing.
A Ph1 172 can be had for £1000-£1500 .. last time I checked K-TEC for instance, I think the conversion was about £6-7,000.
R.e.: The log book - If you're considering doing this to commit insurance fraud, it will take you years to make it worthwhile.
If it's not there, you can't fail on it. Simplez. Also some cars these days (infact a lot!!) don't have a spare fitted as standard. It's not a legal requirement to carry a spare wheel. That's probably the 'logic' behind it.
Lost my virginity at last :D
Well my machine polishing one anyway..
Did Sash's bonnet today .. seemed easy enough really. Without much effort, it's come up fine and dandy. Not near 100% correction but for a first attempt on the worst scratched and stone chipped bonnet in the world, it's not...
