    Shooting Fireworks

If you're really close, lense: wide as hell, remote, tripod, bulb mode, F11, ISO1-400 (see how you get on). Failing the remote, 20-30 seconds shutter, F8-11 (again see how you get on) or tighter if they're not too crisp. Check Flickr for photos, cheat by looking at the exif and it gives you a...

200 Cup rear interior parts weights

There's plenty more to come out there ;) I think stripping the back of the Mk2 Clio is a better total due to the ISOfix bar and the spare wheel/toolkit (182's not applicable obviously!). Good effort anyway, and well done for documenting it !

Oil just fell out of my car :( Help please

F**ked. Check the dipstick .. any oil in the sump ? I'm guessing not. Get your head under there and have a look see what's going on ! Might be difficult if you're not at home, as the lower engine cover will be in the way etc. Good luck ! :S Do NOT attempt to turn the engine over again FFS...

182 what do do if you have a puncture?

Don't worry about it !? Even my Grandad's Honda Jazz has no spare. OEMs are cost cutting and weight saving, and fuel saving too... whats the point of carrying around 20kgs of steel which costs the OEM profit around for the life of the car... (rhetorical).

Anyone know why there's high pitch beeping sound when Iput my hear near the wheel?

Re: Anyone know why there's high pitch beeping sound when Iput my hear near the whee IIRC, just like hearing the sea by putting your ear close to a shell, you can hear the Dieppe ferry if you listen really carefully in any Renault made since 1994.

182 what do do if you have a puncture?

^ Hole in tyre + pumping more air in = infinite wait for inflation..... :S Am I missing something here ?

182 what do do if you have a puncture?

Buy a can or two from Halfords/Tesco. The foam only works if you've a small puncture - if the tyre is shredded, it's as useless for obvious reasons. Make sure your RAC/AA/GreenFlag payment is up to date ! Don't carry a spare in your boot. It'll fill it up completely as Clio boots are...

    Rear registration plate light

Mine was corroded in my black ph1, I tried to swap it but the pins had snapped, so I gave up .. looked much better at night :D It's a terrible design - they all go green and minging unless you silicone up a new one.

    2.5k to spend

Also - have you incorporated insurance into your £2.5k finances ? I'm assuming you're young but you might be 50 for all I know so insurance is practically free ;) If you're 18 it might be the same price as the car ! :( /your dad.

Someone in Phillidelphia keeps signing me up to stuff?

Gmail doesn't notice dots (as it states in the above link). Just start clicking 'reject' on anything you can .. or emailing back telling them to do one ! I still think this is the most elaborate Revlols prank ever... Soon you'll be legally married to someone in Philli and have 3 kids and a...

    2.5k to spend

Buy on condition not milage. Also I personally wouldn't touch a "1-lady owner" car with someone elses pole. It's either A- complete lie because they think people want that, or B- means it's a shed. The lady owners who know what mechanical sympathy, tyre wear bars, warming/cooling, journeys...

    Are Clios galvanised?

    T'was full of mud ? Or t'was yours ? Or t'was a write off !? :rasp:
  24. TheEvilGiraffe

    Are Clios galvanised?

Try again ;) There is no quater panel. It's a clever French design meaning one little bump at the rear and the whole car is a write off. I bet those arches are (or were if that's yours pre-op, saltyscone) full of wet mud.
  25. TheEvilGiraffe

    Are Clios galvanised?

Never seen much rust on any RS Clio. Little bit of mess inside the bonnet, and the boot, but nothing on the outside anywhere in my experience.
  26. TheEvilGiraffe

    Are Clios galvanised?

People don't clean out the arches. The mud sits there and stays damp... eventually it goes wrong !
