Absolutely no regrets about getting the S8 now, maybe if the iphone8 had full screen I might have regretted it, but not at £1000 for the X when I got the S8 for £748 all in with inc contract, spread over 2 years, and with a free gear VR.

I went to cpw today to see it in the flesh before ordering one, and the guy on the Samsung stand had an S8 and he wacked it on the corner of a table to show how strong the glass is, he also said they can survive a drop onto concrete, not sure how true that is but from what I've read the design...

I'm glad I read this thread, I was about to pull the trigger on a 7 but saw these couple of posts and thought I'd have a look at the Samsung first, spec/screen wise the S8 comes out on top on every review I've read, every YouTube review I've watched. Just bought a black S8 with free VR headset...

Looks like a pos to me, 85k with no history and previously written off, I'd say save some more money and buy a proper one.

Tbh all I've used it for so far is to move some photos off the iPad to make space, and I've put a load of movies on it which I can watch from the stick. Movies is main thing I wanted it for, it's such a pain having to convert everything and transfer via iTunes, with this you just simply drag...

Update.. turns out is was a pos after all, worked great until it went over about 20gb capacity then started playing up, long story short it's been returned and I've bought a 64gb Sandisk. Moral of the story.. buy cheap buy twice.
