Well that took longer than expected, but the GS172 is now sold.
Just jumped the scoob back to life with a little help from the 172 .. and the most amazing picture ever from my HTC:
Just been chasing dozens of wild rabbits around the garden, in the Scoob. Much fun ! Yes yes, I'm a child...
Put it on PistonHeads (free or a £16 upgrade to premium with more photos) and AutoTrader. I had a lot of interest, a few people come to view mine and it's gone in under a fortnight.
Also, just my opinion but the last comment about "if you've got 2 grand go elsewhere" .. comes accross as a...
Pull the holder out.. it's a sh*tty French style design, totally open to the elements. Would bet that the contacts are corroded (copper/greeny colour now) and that's not making a circuit any more.

Where are you based dude ?
How fast were you going ?!
As above, the brakes should slow the car down if you're in gear or not, as it does in a car without cruise....
Wouldn't have wanted to turn the ignition off. Instant no brakes or PAS, and then you're royally f**ked when the steering lock comes on !
If you hate it, work it out yourself.
Do you reset it every time you fill up !?
Possibility the lambda is gone/going, as that seems hilariously low unless you're bolted a supercharger to it.
2 miles a time isn't going to do any car any favours in the MPG department.. reset it, find some...
