If the motor's whirring, then surely it's not dead ?
Check you've not got low as sometimes they get all gunky. Good blast with the hose in the tank (washer fluid, not fuel haha) and see what happens....
If it's just the dash top you need (trust me, you dont want to go much further!!) it's just a few torx screws.
Couple on the side at the bottom of the A-pillars, and a few on top where the air comes out .. I think that's it ?
Keep searching for them until the top comes off freely...
My Ph1 did this once.. I checked with the stalk every time I started the car.
This time, all the lights came on as i started the engine suggesting it had all gone.. i rolled back, there was not 5l of oil on my driveway, so I carried on to work Turned it off, turned it on at lunch and it had...
It won't last til next year. It'll wait and then go on you just as you're late for a meeting, or on the way to an airport or something.
I'm guessing the car is a few years old (first MOT is at 3 years IIRC?) so no real point speaking to Renault about warranty related work ?
I'd be either...
I had the Halfords 50% brilliance ones in my Ph1 and they were a massive improvement over whatever was in there before... think the 90s were in the full beam.
Got a set of nightbreakers in the Scoob. Freakin' awesome... whatever was in there before wasn't allowing me to drive over about 8mph...
Today's conclusion was a two parter.
1 - dash conversion after a night out Rob style is hard work.
2 - a ph2 to ph1 front end conversion is probably easier. Tune in next week to find out which one wins.....
Not at all :-P
If my name was Mace or Will, I'd have told her I rescue homeless puppies and feed them to starving children, my parents would love her, and that dinner was being served at 7...
However, I asked as if she was near Birmingham, I'd have suggested going to see Fred, or Danny519 if...
I would also suggest rear shocks.
Just get a friend / parent / grown up to jack the back end up and have a look. Might need to whip the wheel off but its really easy to have a look.
Where are you based, Amy ?
Have a look around this page for some safe cleaner (billberry) and some sealant (CG wheel sealant) and see how you get on in the future.
If you've got anything else that resembles turtlewax, throw it away :o
:)
You'd have been better off protecting them with margarine than TurtleWax TBH..
My guess is you've used too much, or left it on far too long so it's just set now, and if it's 'old' it's not going to be at its best anyway.
Wet it and scrub it off with a microfiber .. but then again, if...
You'll be surprised what the standard speakers can do, when they're not under low freq load !
I put a cheap Fli active sub in the boot and then on the HU cut the low frequencies to the regular speakers.. cranked up loooooud there was no distortion from the fronts at all.
You can set it up...
