Who are "The Garage" ?! Do NOT take it to Renault .. where are you based ? Take it to a specialist, or someone with a code reader and find out what the problem is before you start changing half the car.

I presume, OP, you've not driven much when it's foggy in a car with front fog lights ?! They are utterly useless for seeing anything, infact just hinder your ability to see a damn thing due to the reflection, and dazzle oncoming drivers too. Don't waste your time/ money.
