I had the 55-250 IS .. very very nice lens, (if you look through my flickr you might find some examples in there from a year ago) but I prefer the 70-300 tamron at full zoom, plus it has the macro ability. If you look at the specs of the lens, it will tell you it's minimum focusing distance...
I've got that Tamron lens .. does everything adequatly. No complaints what so ever for the price !
Don't think it will give you images like some L spec glass would.. but then it's 1/10th of the price of a basic L.
Some sample pics:
Couple of weeks ago, through the double-glazing, no...
Very personal choice .. budget and feel are down to you ! Get to Jessops and try out the current range ? Buy another D40 ?!
If you want to upgrade to something a bit nicer, my new-ish 7D feels much more grown up than my 450D, but at ~3x the price, it should do ! :o
My landlord painted the grouting in the shower before I moved in....
Make a note chaps - this does look good, until the first time you use the shower.
:dead:
Week 2/52 for me. Total lack of time/enthusiasm/ideas. It was either the woman, or her new steed... I'd like to wake up in the morning so here's the bike !

Ideas for week three coming up already... bought some ND filters so will see what...
Not bad !
If you need more light, try a longer shutter time .. also, white balance needs to be cooooooooled right off, to take that wonderful orange glow out of the pic.
My first attempts were shoooooite. You dun good :approve:
Not sure I understand any of this thread ?! "Having issues with fuel dissapearing based on the trip computer after my car cuts out."
It's saying that based on the driving you've done since last filling up, it's estimating 50 miles left. Go fill it to the brim and see how much you put in...
Car as a present ? Lucky you haha !
If that was my car I'd definitely be hiding those 6x9s... I'd make sure it was clean (see detailing section on here) .. sort the tyres/brakes as mentioned above .. then sort the hifi out. Decent stereo (alpine would be my choice for starters but they do...
Interpret it any way you want !
Something that is blue (obviously lol) .. a really sad looking dog ? Something that sums up January ?
Use your imagination, old chap ;)
Ok, so as there seems to be no one else starting one, I'm going to go for it ! Everyone seems a little depressed in one way or another at the moment, so how about:
Comp 1: January blues.

£80 EXTRA to have them removed ?
You'd have to pay ME to leave them on there ! :dead: Rather spend £80 on rattle cans and sand paper from Hellfrauds.
Other than that .. seems sensibly modded.
:approve:
Where did you get the TV from ?
Pop to your local RicherSounds, and get some sound (BOOM BOOM!) advise from them. Never had any bad experiences from many different branches of RS.
Does Vista have a 'roll back' feature like XP for when sh*t goes bad ?
System restore or something ?!
Maybe you can go back to a time when it worked....?
If that doesn't solve the problem, back up and start again.
Always have a back up plan with important things... Always have a back up...
Is it defo in the output ?
Is the menu system on the TV set to the correct source that you want it to output ?
Are you trying to take sky or freeview or what, out of the TV ? Can't you go directly to the hifi with the sound !?
Manual here...
You mean the aerial ?
There must be.......
There's normally 2 types, and your new HU should have an adaptor.
For instance:

It's not been lowered as it looks like a range rover ;) Someone should be able to tell you key identifiers on the OEM springs which will confirm that it's still standard.
Love those wheels. Lowering springs or coilovers (budget and insurance allowing of course!), and as mentioned above, a...
