    Williams 148 Resto

How much is it too long by? It's most probably from a non wide arch 3 door

Big Steve World Cup Williams 🌍

Just from the pictures it just doesn't look right to me, I don't trust the look of the dimensions & fitment to be correct. Bit difficult to say without actually having 1 to see next to the original though. In nearly 18 years of dicking about with Mk1's this is the 1st time I've ever actually...

Don't cheap out on the tensioner pulley as the cheap ones are crap and the good ones are ridiculously expensive, this is the cheapest good quality brand one I've managed to find after a quick look...

    Williams 148 Resto

They're specific to phase 1 Valver & Williams only, the non wide arch ph1 Clio items are a different size & don't fit so more like unicorn poop encrusted with hens teeth :ROFLMAO:

This website is going to be your new favourite thing ;):ROFLMAO: https://www.boutique-bordanova-sport.com/ They sell replacement injector plugs amongst many other things, I've bought loads of stuff from them for my Williams restoration and I can't recommend them highly enough

Big Steve World Cup Williams 🌍

Subframes on the Williams are triple skinned and were only fitted to the Williams so finding one is going to be nigh on impossible

Power Steering (Should it have it?)

2.5 turns in a Mk1 was once only reserved for the rich boys going racing & having the rack custom made, praise the lord for the guy that figured out you could do it with a Mk2 dci rack instead :ROFLMAO:

Clio mk1 central locking ir sensor replacement

That brown 1 looks like it was made by a toddler at nursery :ROFLMAO:

Power Steering (Should it have it?)

It's not an issue for MOT unless parts of it are broken, lots of people have upgraded their Clio's by removing the power steering so it's not something to be bothered about. I took the manual steering bits from a car that was probably identical to yours, fitted them to the car in my profile pic...

Clio mk1 central locking ir sensor replacement

Oh, if it's phase 3 I aint got a fcuking clue what the frenchies did or didn't do with the wiring in those :ROFLMAO:

Clio mk1 central locking ir sensor replacement

Bit of a minefield this 1 is, depends what phase car yours is and what ecu you've got because the wiring differs slightly between them. As a rule of thumb, the IR sensor itself isn't paired up to the key (it's the bits after the sensor that are apparently coded together) so you should be able...

My first Clio from the Max Power days

Well it was said more to point out that it wasn't me that created the monstrosity

My first Clio from the Max Power days

Yeah deffo not what I was expecting from the thread title :ROFLMAO: I love the colour Here's the kind of thing I was expecting to see, this was my mates Valver & I ended up stripping it for parts

Anyone drive a mk1 clio on here

I was dailying this until the head gasket went pop, does that count? Got a Williams in mid-restoration and a track car
  19. 16v_paddy

Big Steve World Cup Williams 🌍

Gasket or a Williams? Deffo selling my Williams once I've eventually finished rebuilding it, not sure if I've got any rocker gaskets left though, I did get a load of genuine ones from a random guy at the Nurburgring a few years ago but used some and sold some
  20. 16v_paddy

Big Steve World Cup Williams 🌍

Exactly the same part on both engines, just be wary of getting an R19 F7P gasket, it's not an issue but the R19 one has a bit in the cambelt end that needs to be cut off if you're fitting it to a Clio F7 because it fouls the support bracket for the pulley cover
  21. 16v_paddy

Big Steve World Cup Williams 🌍

Incorrect unless you're completely ignoring the Megane F7's :p

    I'm calling bullshit, I own 5 Clio's and I'm not getting any :rolleyes::mad:

    182 Manifold repair

But buying another one (if you mean a manifold) just repeats the problem as they're all in similar untrustworthy state :ROFLMAO: Although if you mean the flange itself, yes a new one would be nice but do you know what type of flange it's called & where you can buy 1 from? Sort of but it's...
