Any part of the exhaust that's letting exhaust gas out other than the tip of the tail pipe is what a blowing exhaust is, there's also no noise limit for the MOT for you to worry about ;)
There is technically a legal noise limit for a car on the road but the test to show if your car meets that...
I need some help from you knowledgeable folks. My contract runs out soon so I'm looking at what's about but since I'm a total n00b to this smartphone boll0cks I don't know what I'm really looking at/for :S
Last time I got a phone I was quite easily & happily able to avoid all the touch screen...

Been eyeing up full leather myself for the heated seats lol! It's only got the half leather recaro's though
Yeah, just substitute the cloth for a hammer & it'll be reet :clown:
Deffo gonna break it just need to let the insurance do their thing 1st plus I'm trying to find out what bits are...
Well after all the hassle I went through to get the clutch done, twice, to make it to a trackday at Castle Combe in July, the car has suffered terminal injuries. Got t-boned by some old dear in a focus last night only had the thing for 3 months as well Think the pics sum up the damage really...
Sort of yeah, it was a bit random though but the plug on 1 of the injectors wasn't fully plugged in so the connection was a bit dodgy. If it ran fine on the P then the chances are something hasn't been connected back up properly or a wire has broke or something like that, it has been known for...
Not quite correct, they used 2 piece valves that are friction welded together in the F4R's & they're the weak point whenever the engines are being ragged about properly hard & I don't know of any F7's that have dropped a valve
The hassle is having the right looms to match the phase of the car, no real power difference worth mentioning between the meg & willy engine, the meggy F7R was just revised a little bit to move with the times, using coils instead of dizzy, smaller inlet ports with bigger valves etc
Re: What is your favourite RS model?
Valvers & Williams both built at the factory in Dieppe, willy 3's & later valvers rot the worst because they couldn't be arsed to seal them up properly as they were busier tooling up to build the 172 in the same factory
It was Renaultsport that made the...
I blame sideways danny for the engines I've had in mine, he just kept relentlessly taunting me with itb's until I gave in & bought some lol! And to top it off I've now gone & got a high compression F7R to go in
Re: What is your favourite RS model?
Always gonna be a valver for me, especially after I had a go in a completely standard 1 not too long ago. I gave it a proper thrashing & it put a bigger smile on my face than any other RS clio I've driven.
It almost made me feel a bit sad that my valver...
I'd always go for the engine that doesn't have a nasty habit of dropping valves - revised doesn't always mean better, in some cases revised just means cutting costs like renault have done with the 2 piece valves in F4's ;)
I quite enjoyed the wet day I did at Combe last year - well apart from the part where I span off at Folly :o I might have actually soiled myself after doing that.
Tbh I enjoyed the day more because it was a good learning experience for me of controlling the car properly in the wet & still go...
Mine has evolved into becoming purely a weekend & track day toy. Came off the road in October because of a bust gearbox so I've bought a 2 litre high compression engine for it - will sort out a gearbox later :rasp:
It's been my daily driver since I got it in 2007
No specialist insurers as such, they always ask you how many miles you'll do when asking for a quote. You just have to do it the old fashioned way & actually talk to them on the phone.
I take back my previous comment because of your age, might work out cheaper & easier to go with the tow car &...
In your situation - which isn't too dis-similar to mine - I'd keep the track car road legal & have it insured on a limited mileage policy unless getting the trailer & tow car is something you can get while getting the track car sorted. I'd also double check to see if you need to get another...
