Re: The PH1 172 Aprreciation Thread.
Cheers .. it was HANGING yesterday. Think it only saw one bucket of suds since about Oct ? DMH and Robbos are the only ones (on here) to have seen it in full mucky salty messed up state.
One blast with the SSF, and the layer of wax per fortnight last year...
You can adjust images in photoshop to 'remove lens distortion' that can be used to add a fish-eye bulbous effect when used in reverse ;)
Or buy a fish eye lens (presuming you have a D-SLR & a spare ~£500 kicking about) :coffee:
/giraffe
Awesome vid ! Made for some awesome pre-breakfast :coffee: viewing.
That was a mixed bag of fun on the 'ring huh ? Lambos, Vipers, Porkers and then Barry and his merry band of Saxos Corsas and Astras !?
Damn right !
It's also not pink :rasp:
I cleaned mine today .. well it had some abuse from the Karacher and some SSF bubbles ! Tomorrow will be claybar / polish / seal for the first time in 6 months, and hope that it looks nice for at least 20 minutes.
Damn black cars :dead:
Get some photos up, and post up settings if you can ? Unless they were on auto mode ? :dapprove:
Check out the guides at the top of this section for a quick idea of what's going on with your camera !
Have a look through http://www.barryboys.co.uk/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=1
Why would anyone want to glue some fiberglass to the bottom of a euro-hatch is beyond me though.
Unless you spend a FORTUNE, they always look pretty rough. Cars that have have £10k+ thrown at them in bodywork look smart...
Squeeze the coolant pipes ? you'll feel if they are pressurised. Air should pop to the reservoir once the thermostat opens. If theres air around that, it'll never get hot enough to open and the water wont pump round properly.
Put it on a jack / ramp and get the top of the rad highest point on...
As I said, this...
...is what you need, from Ikea  No need for drills or anything more complicated than a 5mm hex tool that you'll get given haha ! If you can engineer light aircraft, you can build a bloomin' shelf unit !!
Take each plug out and see what's occurring.... Be careful with cyl3 (no.4 is the gearbox end, as it's French) as that's notorious. I think they made it out of cheese. Had to heli-coil mine. (Stressful much ?! :dead:)
